Hideo Kojima rang in 2022 by revealing that he will be starting work on an unnamed and unspecified “radical project.”

The Kojima Productions founder took to Twitter to confirm the news, writing, “This year, I’m going to start a new work in earnest, and move to the next level of experimentation with a radical project. I’m also hoping to get the video team going. And I may start doing something like a radio project?”

The so-called “radical project” cannot be confirmed as a video game title as Kojima Productions launched a new film, TV and music division in November 2021, but Kojima did previously tease that he is working on two new games. Death Strandingstar Norman Reedus also revealed in August 2021 that a sequel is currently in negotiations, possibly meaning that Kojima Productions will have a busy year ahead.

Elsewhere in gaming, SEGA is giving away the “world’s fastest PC.”

Italian shoemaker Jacopo De Carli has teamed up with Clarks Originals to release two loaded takes on the high-top Wallabees.

The first pair features beige nubuck uppers with multicolored paint splatter on the toebox, and an assortment of Wallabees fabric tags threaded along the lateral and rear. The tags are from previous Clarks releases and feature a variety of materials and branding including that of Clark’s previous collaborations with Barneys, Supreme, GORE-TEX, and OVO. A triangular pouch is placed on the tongue section and a stacked gum sole unit rests below.

The second pair features an algae-like paint job across the suede uppers with thick green, yellow, and black shoelace bundles attached to the upper eyelet. A fabric pouch rests above the laces, and a classic gum outsole below completes the look.

The custom pairs are now being given away to Clarks Originals’ Instagram followers based in the United Kingdom. Terms and conditions can be found in the IG post found below.

In commemoration of publisher Shogakukan’s 100th Anniversary, Rumiko Takashi‘s comedic manga Urusei Yatsura is slated for a brand new anime debut this year since its first adaptation directed by Ghost in the Shell‘s director Mamoru Oshii in the 1980s.

Urusei Yatsura follows the story of the alien Princess Lum and human Ataru Moroboshi after Lum misinterprets Ataru’s proposal meant for his girlfriend, Shinobu Miyake. Along with the teased visuals of the main characters, their voice casts have been revealed to be Sumire Uesaka, who voiced Nagatoro in DON’T TOY WITH ME, MISS NAGATORO, and Hiroshi Kamiya, who voiced Levi in Attack on Titan.

Produced by David Production with notable works such as Jojo’s Bizarre Adventureand Fire Force, the new series is directed by Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura, who previously worked on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind. Joining the jam-packed production team are The Aquatope on White Sand‘s screenwriter Yuko Kakihara and Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!‘s character designer Naoyuki Asano.

In case you missed it, new Easter eggs are found in 1988 Akira animated film.A month after dropping the first teaser for the Ultraman anime’s second season, Netflix and Tsuburaya Productions have now unveiled the series’ new key art along with the announcement of its release window.

For fans of the action-packed anime, Ultraman season two will finally arrive on Netflix in April 2022, exactly three years since the first season’s debut back in 2019.

While most details revolving around the new season are still being kept under wraps, we do know from promotional material that many more Ultraman characters will be joining the mech suit team come April, including Jack, Taro and Zoffy to form the legendary Ultra 6 Brothers. The announcements also revealed that a new Alien Pedanto will be introduced in the upcoming season, with Jujutsu Kaisen and Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway veteran Junichi Suwabe voicing for him. Tatsuhisa Suzuki, who was originally slated to voice act for Ultraman Taro, has also stepped down from the role after he announced a hiatus from “all entertainment industry activities,” passing on the mantle to Tomoaki Maeno.

Despite revealing a release window, there’s yet to be a price launch date for UltramanSeason 2, so fans of the first season should stay tuned for more updates to come.
