Skatewear HUF and Seiko have collaborated for the first time resulting it two limited edition Seiko 5 Sports models dropping later this month.
The first design – the SBSA163 – takes on earthy, muted tones of khaki green and orangey brown, punctuated on its black dial with a neon green HUF logo and central seconds hand.
The automatic movement is visible through a neon green tinted glass caseback and the stainless steel day/date watch is presented on a khaki fabric strap. Seiko will produce 1,000 examples of the design.
The second design – the SBSA164 – takes a much more luxe approach to the same case shape – with its crown set at the four o’clock position – using a gold-toned IP coating for both case and bracelet paired with a sunray brushed dark green dial, matched on the reverse with a dark green glass exhibition caseback.
In a first for the Seiko 5 Sports, the SBSA164 uses baton markers instead of the usual round lume pot hour markers. Just 300 will be made and each watch in the limited edition series is individually numbered on the caseback.
The pieces go on sale on April 21 at 23:00 ET via HUF online and at HUF flagship stores priced 42,900 yen and 47,300 yen respectively (approximately $333 USD and $367 USD).
