Hennessey, the upstart Texas-based automotive firm responsible for the insane Venom GT, has revealed its upcoming Venom F5. Looking to claim the title of world’s fastest production car, a title currently disputed by Bugatti with its Veyron Super Sport and Hennessy with its Venom GT, Hennessey’s John Hennessey stated in an interview with Top Gear that “I think something in the 290mph range will be possible.” We’ll have to wait until the car goes intro production in 2015 to know the final figures, but with technical specifications including a curb weight of under 1,300 kg and a power output possibly in the neighborhood of 1,400 horsepower from its 7.0-liter twin turbo V8, it seems likely that the automotive world could have a new king of speed in the near future. Find out more on the Venom F5 here.
