Ferarri Unveils 1,035 HP FXX K

If you’re not familiar with Ferrari‘s XX program, that’s okay because you’re probably not a billionaire. Comprising the XX program is a very select group of Ferrari owners who have acquired a Ferrari FXX or a 599XX, which are produced exclusively for track use under Ferrari’s supervision. In the case of the FXX model, customers pay around $3.1M, but are only allowed to use the car on certain track days with Ferrari’s permission. The cars themselves never stray from the close supervision of the storied Italian carmaker.
The latest addition to the very small circles of the XX program is the Ferrari LaFerrari, re-dubbed as the FXX K. Arriving as a hybrid, the car features a gasoline V12 engine and electric motor, both of which have been tweaked for maximum output. When combined, the two systems put out 1,035 horsepower, up from a mere 949 horsepower in the standard model. While prices have not been announced for the FXX K just yet, for those in the extremely illustrious position of purchasing one, don’t plan on taking it out on the streets – or even out of Ferrari’s sights.
