Frank Gehry's "Crumpled Bag" Building
Eighty-five-year-old iconic architect Frank Gehry may have just designed Australia’s second most recognizable building (second to the Sydney Opera House, of course). Nicknamed the ”Crumpled Bag Building,” the Dr. Chau Chak Wing Building in Ultimo is home to the University of Technology Sydney’s business school. Gehry says the building mimics the feeling of “being in your mother’s arms when you’re a child.” Featuring a brown exterior with protruding areas and curved spaces, the building is surely a sight to see.
