Obsidian Is a 1967 Mustang With Serious Punch Under the Hood
This 1967 Ford Mustang has been supercharged and upgraded in every which way: it’s powered by a 392ci V8 engine and twin superchargers that push the whip from 0 to 60 in just four short seconds, packing 850 horsepower under the hood. The car, nicknamed “Obsidian” by its current owner, also features some robust safety measures to counter all that aforementioned power: a NASCAR-style belly pan, a hidden roll cage and Brembo brakes all ensure the driver’s safety when steering this monster.

Audi Unveils the 2017 A5 & S5
Audi’s new A5 and S5 may both look eerily similar to the German automotive giant’s current models, but the two pack a bunch of performance upgrades — lest you think Audi’s pulling one over on you given the aesthetics. Now built on the MLB evo platform, the cars are both wider and longer than their predecessors, yet somehow sheds weight despite the new wheelbase. As for performance, horsepower starts at 187 for the base 2.0-liter gas and diesel engines while the S5′s turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 tops out at 350 hp. The result is acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 4.7 seconds despite an efficient rating of 32.2 mpg. Audi is also offering 3.0-liter V6 TDI versions of the vehicles (at 215 or 268 hp) and six-speed manual, seven-speed dual-clutch and eight-speed automatic transmissions. Finally, the aforementioned wheelbase extension means a larger cabin that comes complete with an optional Virtual Cockpit 8.3-inch display and touchpad controls.
Capped off with Audi’s renowned safety systems (including Audi Pre-Sense), the new coupes will launch in Europe later this fall before making their way to additional markets.
Ferrari Unveils an Extra Special 458
Ferrari Unveils an Extra Special 458
First introduced back in 2013, Ferrari’s 458 Speciale represents, as the name implies, a high-powered, upgraded take on the original 458. Now that vehicle — naturally-aspirated V8 and all — is the subject of a makeover of its own as the iconic Italian imprint takes the wraps off of the 458 MM Speciale. Painted in a creamy “Bianco Italia” hue, the vehicle sports il Tricolore-inspired stripes along with details like modified aluminum bodywork, carbon fiber composite bumpers and custom wheels. And while most of the tech specs remain the same (the car still features the 458 Speciale’s naturally-aspirated V8 4.5-liter engine under the hood), the creation does include an upgraded stereo system along with Cioccolato leather and white satin accents.
If you were hoping to get your hands on the stallion, however, you’re out of luck: the 458 MM Speciale is a custom one-off that was crafted by the Ferrari Styling Center for an owner in Britain.
