The Air Jordan 5 "Take Flight" Will Retail for $400 USD
At the end of last year, Jordan Brand officially revealed images of the Military-inspired “Take Flight” pack. After seeing details of the Air Jordan 15 and Air Jordan 8 models, we now get a better look at the final — and perhaps most highly-anticipated — pair of the series: the Air Jordan 5. Priced at $400 USD at retail, the AJ5 “Take Flight” has a militarized construction inspired by the P-51 flight bomber jacket. As the cost may suggest, this special edition of the OG retro features premium construction that consists mostly of heavy duty leather: the silhouette features a leather-wrapped midsole for the first time, leather tongue, leather upper with laser perforated ventilation units on the side panels and a large ‘Flight’ branding lace lock, also in leather. The shoe’s military influence is also conveyed through its colorway, which sees a Sequoia green upper and midsole set against a classic Vachetta tan tongue tab. Finally, an icy outsole rounds out the luxurious pair. The Air Jordan 5 “Take Flight” will release on February 11 for $400 USD. Take a look a the photo set above and let us know if you’d cop.
A Closer Look at the Nike KD 9 "BHM"
Another front runner of Nike’s upcoming Black History Month collection is the Nike KD 9. Part of the thematic trio of Nike Basketball silhouettes alongside the LeBron 14 and Kyrie 3, Kevin Durant’s ninth silhouette boasts an innovative Flyknit upper for breathable comfort. This time around you’ll find a direct contrast along the KD 9′s upper as white makes its way from the toe box to its mid-foot area while its heel dons black coloring. White Swoosh logos are also found along the heel’s black portion in addition to KD logos on the rears of the left and right sneaker. Gold detailing is found on the one piece upper’s tongue while the same marble design found on the sole of the Nike Kyrie 3 “BHM” makes its way onto the sole of the KD 9 “BHM” as well.
The Nike KD 9 “BHM’ will hit select retailers and be available online on February 16 for a retail price of $150 USD.
"Militia Green" Meets the Nike Air Max 90 Ultra 2.0 Silhouette
Nike’s Air Max 90 silhouette is back again with a twist. Back in an Ultra 2.0 form, the model dons a “Militia Green” colorway with unique color blocking. Along the toe-box area you’ll find a dark shade of grey which is met by “Cargo Khaki” coloring from its midfoot to heel area. The aforementioned grey coloring is also placed on the pair’s lateral and medial Swoosh hits, as well as its heel branding. The upper of this Nike Air Max 90 Ultra 2.0 rests atop of a white midsole and dark grey outsole. Lastly, its attention grabber is its bright green visible Air Max unit within its heel.
The Nike Air Max 90 Ultra 2.0 “Militia Green” is currently available at select retailers such as Afew for approximately $165 USD.
