JAY-Z Releases New Socially Impactful Video for "The Story of O.J."
After weeks of anticipation, JAY-Z‘s thirteenth studio album, 4:44 has finally released. While some are unenthused about the TIDAL subscription required, many are calling it a breath of fresh air and even a potential shift of culture of sorts. Whatever the case maybe, 4:44 may go down as one of Hov’s more “socially woke” projects.
Today, the hip-hop mogul has also released a new video for the album standout, “The Story of O.J.” The animated aesthetic appears to draw some inspiration from The Censored Eleven; a series of cartoons released between the ’30′s and ’50s that used controversial ethnic stereotypes in their cartoons. They were eventually banned nearly 40 years later in 1968 by United Artists; the Beverly Hill-based film and television entertainment studio who originally created it.

Slick Woods Slays in Moschino's 2017 Fall/Winter Campaign & MORE PICS!!!
Last season’s Moschino campaign sees sister duo Gigi and Bella Hadid facing the paparazzi. Gearing up for Fall/Winter 2017, designer Jeremy Scott now taps another rising runway star Slick Woods to front the brand’s latest campaign.
Lensed by photographer Steven Meisel, the black-and-white imagery sees the 20-year-old model donning a strapless dress shaped just like a Moschino shopping bag. Elevating the dramatic look are matching knee-high boots, as well as an unconventionally cool wheel-shaped headpiece. Have your first look at the campaign by checking out the image above.
Feel the Blues in Christian Dior's 2017 Fall/Winter Campaign
For Fall/Winter 2017, Dior artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri continues to shake things up with a forthright feminist attitude. In addition to house muse Ruth Bell, the designer has recruited a troupe of rising runway stars – including Adwoa Aboah, Fernanda Ly, Grace Hartzel and more — to front the fashion house’s latest print ad.
Military-inspired berets, delicate chokers and navy blue ensembles dominate the Brigitte Lacombe-shot campaign. She graces the front page of LOVE but not alone: Miss Piggy joins her in matching Miu Miu. Both have the fuzzy wuzzies wearing coordinating fur looks from the Italian brand — Miss Piggy’s is custom-made, however.

BLXCK CAR & BIKE STYLE:
Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara has revealed that he and his team at fragment design will be taking a lead role in designing the latest model of the Range Rover Velar. The British automobile maker announced on YouTube that it will be hosting a special event in Tokyo to show off the new model on July 11. With not much information given out in the video, it remains unclear as to how the fragment design model will differ from the Velar’s base model, which has only been on the market since March.
While it may come as a surprise to some, this isn’t the first time Land Rover has collaborated with someone outside of the automobile business. Just last month, the company unveiled a special edition watch made in partnership with Zenith to commemorate the release of the Range Rover Velar.

Rolls-Royce now offers a Black Badge variant of its popular Dawn convertible, revealed at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. The new semi-performance drop-top delivers more power and dynamic inputs. The 6.6 liter, the twin-turbocharged V12 engine remains. However, horsepower is up 30 to 593 ponies. Similar to other Black Badges like the Wraith and Ghost, the transmission, steering, and throttle have all been revised and massaged for a sportier feel; it also features a new active exhaust paired with brakes that expand by 1 inch compared to the standard vehicle.
Royce boasts the car is bathed in a deep and intense shade of black — with multiple layers of paint and lacquer having been applied and hand-polished for its solid paint color. All chrome fittings are now darkened, including the Spirit of Ecstasy, complementing the black canvas roof and black leather tonneau cover. The interior is a mix of carbon fiber, ebony, and black leather surfaces, contrasted by an orange leather trim.
Considering the regular Dawn starts around $340,000, it’s speculated the price tag of the Black Badge edition will be closer to the $400,000 mark. Watch the video below showcasing the vehicle.

Ralf Hütter, the founder of music group Kraftwerk has teamed up with Roman Arnold and German bicycle company Canyon for an extremely limited cycle. Ralf started cycling in the early ’80s and even tried to get his band to embrace the sport and vibes with a single titled “Tour de France” that samples bicycle chain and gear sounds. Arnold grew up partying to the music from Kraftwerk and liked the idea of integrating the two — cycling and German electronica — so a seamless partnership was formed. The Ultimate CF SLX Kraftwerk was born from the union and is built on a Grand Tour-winning frame with a hand-placed geometric reflective finish.
Arnold had this to say about the partnership, “Kraftwerk and cycling have a special and unique connection, their music and all that they do, has inspired our work at Canyon in so many ways across the years.” Due to how much time it takes to make the bikes, only 21 will be available on the Canyon website. You can also read about how Kraftwerk inspired Raf Simons.

With L.A. experiencing a heat wave and making the valley hit triple digit temperatures, this means I am up in my studio enjoying the a/c and putting in work on sharing some photo sets with all of you.
With an upcoming visit from Linda Zhao for another shooting session I thought I would finally share the last set of images we had made from her visit to L.A. some months back. I remember really enjoying the process of making the images below. Being limited to the balcony space that the room had I thought it would be a fun challenge to see what we could come up with.
The one thing that caught my eye was making use of the window. The reflections of it, the textures of it all served as a great tool for this shoot. I must say I am looking forward to creating with Linda again. It is always fun to see what you can come up with differently from the last time you work with someone. With that stay cool out there everyone and have a great week!

RIDES & BOATS: LAMBORGHINI / MERCEDES-BENZ
The current owner’s 2017 Marine Technologies MTI 52 G6 “Superveloce” speedboat is designed to match the Aventador every inch of the way. It’s painted in the same color, 100% of carbon fiber with 1350 bhp and 180 mph to reach up to maximum speed. Its lights resemble those of the Lambo, and cost $20,000 USD. Inside, there is also a stereo worth $25,000 USD and 10,000 LEDs. Power to the speedboat comes from Mercury Racing engines producing 134 bhp in “Leisure mode” and a monstrous 1,548 bhp when a special key fob is inserted to enter “Race Mode.”
The listing for the pair is currently on eBay and will end in about a week; you can purchase the Aventador with a matching powerboat for $2,199,000 USD if you have the garage and marine space.
Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will be bringing two of its highly anticipated new cars to the U.S.
Concepts for the A-Class and AMG GT Sedans had been shown at auto shows in Shanghai and Geneva
earlier this year, but the news that they will be released in the U.S. is the first concrete production
announcement. There’s no official news yet on how much the two will cost, although reports are
suggesting that the A-Class sedan will be on the market for around $30,000 USD.
While we wait for more details on the two models, refresh your memory of Mercedes’s AMG GT announcement.
