Monochromatic Moments :: Monica Alvarez
Posted on February 09 2018
I hope everyone is having a good Friday. Being it is the end of most people's work week I figured it was a good idea to wrap things up with a photo set with one of my favorite people, Monica Alvarez. This was on her visit to L.A. some months back. Her hotel room had a classic feel to it so we felt it would be fun to create a set of images that had a bit of an "Old Hollywood" vibe to it, but in contemporary form. No props or vintage wardrobe but rather carry on the same feeling in a modern setting.
She had this cool robe mixed with just some black lingerie bottoms and some heels to finish off the outfit. Given the texture of the robe I made it a point to capture some shots of her walking around to translate the motion in the photos via her wardrobe. In the end I would say we accomplished what we had set out to do. Aside from aesthetic next was to have fun creating. These photos are another testament that she is a great person to shoot with.
Be sure to scroll below to check out the rest of the photo set. I hope you enjoy them and thank you again Monica for always being rad.
