Paris-based Barbara Custom motorcycles has put its spin on the BMW R80 model with its futuristic “Black Mamba” concept. The bike maintains a number of elements that have ensured the BMW R-Series’ popularity — such as a flat-twin airhead engine and distinctive carburetors – as well as featuring a number of new adjustments and touches.
New features include a RnineT swingarm and USD front forks, which have been added to the existing R80 frame and motor. The concept also features a radical single-piece design, combining the seat, tank and headlight into one piece. Take a look at the “Black Mamba” concept from Barbara Custom above.
German motorcycle workshop Hookie Co. has unveiled a new take on the BMW R Nine T, with an updated model named the “Falcon.” As the name suggests, the new bike is inspired by birds of prey, with design elements aimed at replicating the speed and ferocity of those birds.
The starting model for the customization was a 2014 version of the bike, which was deconstructed and put back together to look like a more traditional model. Other features include a custom tail section, a large LED truck light and bespoke aluminum bodywork. Lastly, the bike is finished with a subtle Falcon logo.
As Gear Junkie reports, Lamborghini has teamed up Canadian cycling brand Cervélo for a special new “super bike.”
Billed as “the fastest and most technologically advanced triathlon bike of all time,” the P5X “Lamborghini Edition” stands out as one of Canadian’s crowning achievements. Limited to just 25 models, Lamborghini’s P5X collaboration was originally unveiled at this month’s Geneva Motor Show event. A merger of Cervélo’s quality craftsmanship and Lamborghini’s forward-thinking, bold aesthetics, this latest take on the P5X “Super Bike” takes its design from a blueprint whipped up by the exotic automaker’s talented engineers and carries the ideal balance of function and form.
“Our triathletes lead the charge when it comes to racing, and now, with this stunning bike, they can stand out from the crowd even more emphatically,” reads a statement from Robert de Jonge, Cervélo’s managing director.
