Porsche has officially revealed plans for a special-edition 911 Speedster.
Notably, the Porsche 911 Speedster 2019 takes much of its design and inspirational cues cues from past eras of Porsche style, including the late ’80s. Only 1,946 models will be made, making this new vehicle a limited-edition offering. The original concept car was introduced on June 8, while the final, physical version of the 911 Speedstar is based on a 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet bodyshell. Weissach’s Porsche Motorsport put in the effort to develop and put together the 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster, which also uses 911 GT3 parts and exhaust systems and six-speed manual gearboxes from Porsche’s GT operations. “More than 500 horsepower” is also featured in the models list’s of technical specifications. Rounding out the 911 Speedster package: 21-inch cross-spoke, center-look wheels modeled after 911 RSR and GT3 R wheels, two-tone seats inspired by previous Porsche Speedstar interiors, and the option to choose from a variety of Porsche Exclusive-crafted Heritage Design Packages.
