Air Jordan 4 Retro Remastered "Columbia"/Air Jordan 7 "French Blue"
In an interview conducted with Sneaker News over the summer, Jordan Brand Vice President Dave Schecter officially announced that the footwear behemoth would begin an overhaul of sorts to its successful line of vault silhouettes. In particular, Jordan Brand would utilize new tanneries to produce iterations of the AJ4, AJ7 and AJ10 that were as close to Michael Jordan’s own on-court sneakers as possible. Making good on that promise, here we find the first release from the forthcoming line, with the Air Jordan 4 Retro Remastered “Columbia” due to hit shelves in Spring 2015. The upper has been done up with supple pebbled white leather (replacing the previously-used netting), crisply sculpted panels, and Legend Blue Jumpman logos at the tongue, heel and insole. Look for this release to drop at retailers such as Wish ATL beginning January 10.
As mentioned previously, Air Jordan plans to celebrate its 30th anniversary with a year of remastered sneakers that feature higher quality materials and sturdier constructions. While the AJ4 “Columbia” will be the first to release in 2015, the Air Jordan 7 “French Blue” will follow suit shortly after. Originally released in 2002, this rendition of MJ’s seventh signature sneaker sees a mostly white upper with various blue and grey hues mixed in throughout. The Air Jordan 7 “French Blue” is slated to release January 24 at select retailers for $190 USD.
