ohW? 2015 "Reflection" Lookbook / OAMC x Ateliers Heschung Grey Suede Contrast Derby Shoes
Having launched in 2012, ohW? offers a fresh approach to men’s footwear with an array of contemporary and functional designs produced straight from its own factory in China. Now entering its third year in business, the British footwear brand presents its “Reflection” range. Consisting of three boot and two shoe models – the Thorn 4, Kitch, Gibson, Freddy and Burns – each pair combines the brand’s signature understated upper with an exaggerated sneaker-inspired IMEVA sole unit and leather rand. Details also include hidden ghillie laces, padded tongues and collars, wool and leather sockliners, while its material selection focuses on full-grain leathers and wool in a predominantly monochrome color palette with seasonal accents. Be on the lookout for this collection to hit select ohW? stockists within the coming months.
OAMC and Ateliers Heschung teamed-up on a series of footwear classics, reinterpreted under the watchful and progressive eye of OAMC. Classics such as the derby seen here are given a more modern interpretation as selective pops of color provide both a visual and material juxtaposition. A safety orange heel tab provides a notable color pop while a white band runs across the forefoot. The OAMC x Ateliers Heschung Grey Suede Contrast Derby Shoes is available now at select retailers including SSENSE.
