With this year’s NBA All-Star festivities taking place in New York City and surrounding areas, Nike Basketball appropriately pulled inspiration from NYC’s iconic architecture and utilized it on the coinciding 2015 All-Star collection. The commemorative range highlights four of Nike Basketball’s signature athletes—Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and LeBron James—and of course their personal footwear. The Kobe X draws inspiration from the 1964 New York World’s Fair which attracted individuals from all over the world in order to get a peek at the future; the KD 7 was inspired by the Brooklyn Bridge; the Kyrie 1 was crafted with New York City’s legendary City Hall Subway Station in mind; and the LeBron 12 gets inspired by NY’s can’t-miss Flatiron Building.
Both the Kobe X and the KD 7 from this year’s Nike Basketball All-Star pack will be arriving at select retail spots on February 13, while the Kyrie 1 and the LeBron 12 will be landing the following day. Each range comes with matching tees, socks and hats.
