The Monsieur de Chanel Returns in Limited Edition Platinum With Black Enamel
Chanel debuted the Monsieur de Chanel last year at Baselworld, impressing watch connoisseurs with its impressive mechanics and elegant aesthetics. For this year’s fair, the luxury fashion house’s first male watch comes back in a limited edition platinum case and slick black enamel dial. The new Monsieur edition features the same mechanics as its first edition: the watch is powered by Caliber 1 movement, has a retrograde minute hand and features classic jump-hour movement. What’s different is the exterior: the mechanics are enclosed in a 40mm platinum case with a sapphire caseback that clearly displays the intricate wheel movements. A black dial made of grand feu enamel displays the 240-degree retrograde minute display and a jumping digital hour display at six o’clock for an elegant, minimalist look. The new Monsieur de Chanel is limited to just 100 pieces and will retail for $63,000 USD.
The BMW i8 already features a striking exterior with a long sleek design and scissor style doors.
Last year, the German-based automakers dropped a Protonic Red color scheme for the car.
This year, as a followup, BMW will release two new matte paint schemes available through its
BMW Individual program. The Protonic Frozen Black Edition and Protonic Frozen Yellow Edition
will be available later this year in limited runs and will feature custom interiors with a plevy of
luxury features like leather seats and carbon fiber.
