The Airbus Group alongside Italdesign have reimagined a flying concept machine built specifically for the cities of tomorrow. Called Pop.Up, the futuristic design can best be described as a car-drone hybrid with plans of it taking to both ground and air. The capsule can clip onto a set of wheels and maneuver like any other automobile while also unlocking to be airlifted by a drone. Based on time, energy costs, traffic, and emissions, the accompanying app will assess and determine the correct mode of transport in any given situation.
