Miami will once again garner the attention of the art world in the forthcoming Art Basel 2018 festivities this first week of December. The multifaceted installment will feature hundreds of leading international galleries setting up booths at the Miami Beach Convention Center alongside remote shows such as VHILS’ solo exhibition at Wynwood Walls, New York Sunshine‘s “Broken Time” exhibition, and Superchief’s takeover of the Juxtapoz Clubhouse. Furthermore, SCOPE art fair will also kick off with HI-FRUCTOSE curating a series of large-scale installations and immersive experiences as well as a “Young Thug As Paintings” show to be displayed inside the venue.

Unauthorized Banksy Exhibition by British Gallery Owner Steve Lazarides
British gallery owner Steven Lazarides is set to bring his touring “The Art of Banksy” exhibition to the Magic City Innovation District in Miami for Art Basel Week. The unauthorized Banksy show will feature a total of 80 works by the elusive graffiti artist spanning original paintings, sculptures, screenprints, as well as loaned works from private collectors. One of the more notable pieces to be displayed are Lazarides’ own photos of Banksy earlier in his career. New York Sunshine “Broken Time” Exhibition
John Margaritis of New York Sunshine is set to launch an exhibition entitled “Broken Time.” The forthcoming presentation draws inspiration from his childhood and his foray into the art world. The collective will spotlight a body of new works made in collaboration with Stems Gallery of Brussels. “Broken Time” opens December 5 at Miami’s Wynwood district. Nike “Makers Studio” Featuring Alex Yanes
Miami-born street artist Alex Yanes is known for his vibrant artworks that draw inspiration from his Cuban roots, Miami, and skateboard culture. For Art Basel 2018, Yanes teamed up with Nike’s “Makers Studio” to present three large-scale art installations on display alongside customizable apparel and sneakers designed by the artist. Accompanying these Nike collaborative pieces is Yanes’ solo exhibition at the Scope Art Fair featuring 17 new works. “The Invisible Man” at the House of Ruinart
This past August, Seminal Chinese artist Liu Bolin, known as The Invisible Man, made a photo series comprised of eight images that invoke the “invisible imprint of human labor” during a 10 day residence at Maison Ruinart in Reims, France. This body of work was displayed at numerous art fairs across the globe throughout 2018, with the tour set to conclude at Art Basel Miami 2018. At the Miami Beach Convention Center, Ruinart will purvey a custom Champagne gift box designed by Bolin with the graphics inspired by his jackets worn during his body art processes.Miami Beach Convention Center

SCOPE Miami 2018 Immersive Installations, Solo Booths, & More
SCOPE Miami is one of several fairs to launch during Art Basel 2018. The eclectic fair will feature a fresh selection of emerging galleries in its New Contemporary program alongside talks and events. Moreover, Hi-Fructose is celebrating their 14th anniversary this year with a massive art showcase at the fair. The art publication will show works made by Okuda, Hot Tea as well as AJ Fosik. VHILS Solo Exhibition at Wynwood Walls
Goldman Global Arts enlisted renowned Portuguese artist VHILS to launch the first-ever solo show entitled “Ethereal” at its GGA Gallery space during the forthcoming Art Basel 2018 festivities. Touching upon the organization’s theme of “Beyond Words” this year, the artist will present new carved portraits at in the space located at the heart of the Wynwood Arts District in Miami. He will also take over the entire facade of the building.
