Gucci‘s new photo book, Dapper Dan’s Harlem, showcases images shot by photographer and filmmaker Ari Marcopolous. The book is dedicated to the iconic Dapper Dan and documents Marcopolous’ journey through Harlem, Dan’s home and the eponymous atelier, which Gucci helped him reopen in 2017. The compilation of imagery features cultural forces across industries including poet Cleo Wade, author and businessman Steve Stoute and restaurateur and Harlem chef Marcus Samuelsson.
Priced at £175 (approx. $222 USD) Dapper Dan’s Harlem will launch on January 8 during Pitti Uomo at the Gucci Garden in Florence. Strictly limited to 500 copies, the book will see a wider release under IDEA, a London-based publisher. It will also be available for purchase at Gucci’s Wooster Bookstore, in New York.
