BAPE‘s iconic Shark Face motif returns to the BAPESTA this season, seeing two new options recently emerging from the Japanese stalwart.
Utilizing the coveted BAPESTA Low model, the Shark Face motif has been applied to the lateral sides, seeing a red STA motif being placed above it. The STA motif then wraps around the back heels and once again makes an appearance on the medial panels. Additionally, BAPE branding can be found on the midsoles as well as on the silver dubraes, while “WGM” lettering has been stitched into the back portion of the heel. Featured in either a black or white iteration, each model has been crafted from patent leather.
The Shark BAPESTA Lows will be released this Saturday, January 19 at BAPE retailers and online for a retail price of ¥21,000 JPY (approximately $193 USD).
During its recent Paris Fashion Week Men’s 2019 runway show, Italian luxury house Valentino debuted a new collaboration with Birkenstock.
Utilizing Birkenstock’s Arizona silhouette, creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli put his own unique spin on the model, which is featured in two different monotoned colorways of “Valentino” red and a toned down black. The former is dressed in buckles embossed with Birkenstock logos, while the latter sees large white “VLTN” branding emblazoned across the lateral side; both are crafted using leather.
“I chose to make this collaboration with Birkenstock for the same reason people choose Birkenstock every day. No matter what you wear, who you are, no matter your gender or social background, no matter your age, your style, no matter if you care about fashion or if you do not, Birkenstock has its own universal language. I loved the idea of approaching the DNA of our maison, represented by the individual and intimate world of Couture with something that it is so free and adaptable. To me, this is the definition of inclusivity,” said Piccioli.
Look for the Valentino x Birkenstock Arizona Sandals to be released at select Valentino boutiques globally and on Valentino.com. The models will also hit select Birkenstock boutiques and Birkenstock.com soon.

Powered by Wear OS by Google, and running the Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform, the new Tambour Horizon watch features a 42mm case and adorns a number of LV’s iconic logos and motifs. Made to enhance the wearer’s daily life, the smartwatch encompasses a “My Travel” itinerary watch face function, a “LV City Guide” app, agenda/calendar app, a fitness app, and even a special “Pollution” function that monitors air quality. Although the Tambour Horizon will need to be charged daily, it does come with a special watch mode that gives it up to five days of battery life.
Available in polished steel, matte black PVD, matte brown PVD, white ceramic, and white ceramic with gem-set horns, the price of the watch is priced from $2,250 USD – $8,500 USD.
