An idea from Sam Morrison has turned into a sold out project. Taking President Donald Trump‘s controversial tweets and placing them onto slides, Morrison has already managed to sell out his stock in less than a month. “Take a scroll through Donald Trump’s 40,000 tweets, and you’re sure to catch some contradicting opinions,” Morrison told Business Insider over email. “I wanted to highlight this hypocrisy.”
Giving new meaning to Trump’s flip flops, Morrison and his President Flip Flops venture have highlighted some of Trump’s most head-scratching tweets, including those on the Electoral College and Syria, onto slides. Morrison made 1,000 pairs in three different variations which sold for $27.99 USD. Check out the President Flip Flops above and stay tuned for a re-release. In the meantime, check in with @prezflipflops for more.
REENO Studios has just finished mocking up a pair of Nike Air Force 1 customs that are sure to please the art crowd. Paying homage to the late American pop artists Andy Warhol, the pair of Uptowns predominantly features the works: Campbell’s Soup Cans on the upper panels, and the Velvet Underground & Nico‘s banana album cover in the form of Nike’s Swoosh logo.
Other details include Andy Warhol’s signature on the midfoot, while the lining and shoelaces see the colors pink and blue — all pointing to colors often seen in Warhol’s work. While this is still just a rendering, this mockup proves to be one of the better art-meets-AF-1 iterations we’ve seen to date.
