Following a teaser in the recent SS19 collection video lookbook and from Tyler, the Creator himself, we now have a full look at GOLF le FLEUR* and Lacoste’s collaborative range. Playfully dubbed “GOLF le COSTE*,” the goods utilize lofty tones like “litchi” (a pale pink), “geode” (beige) and “mascarpone” (off-white) to reimagine signature courtside staples with ’80s flair.
The collection embodies comfortable, genderless styling by way of striking tracksuits and Lacoste’s signature polo shirts, elevated by juxtaposed, contrasted colors. Three-fourths of the long- and short-sleeved polo shirts are executed in solid mascarpone, with accents of litchi, while geode grants bolder contrast to the shorts and one of the tri-colored T-shirts. Matching jersey bucket hats further complement the layering pieces.
Statement items come by way of a geode-toned wool varsity jacket, finished with leather sleeves, and a plush cardigan, crafted from furry wool. Matching socks keep the complementary styling consistent, completed by the addition of a revamped take on Lacoste’s classic crocodile logo — “GOLF” lettering is hidden inside the reptilian body, a small poppy flower clutched in its teeth. The varsity jacket takes the co-branding a step further, encircling the croc inside a GOLF le FLEUR*-branded shape.
Take a closer look at the collection below, priced from $48 USD to $650 USD apiece. GOLF le FLEUR*’s collaborative effort hits Lacoste’s web store and select flagships, as well as specialist boutiques like SSENSE, KITH and Concepts on July 17.
