Futura is joining forces with the New York Mets on a special three-piece capsule collection to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the MLB team’s 1969 championship season. The collaborative release includes a ‘Pointman’ bobblehead, replica jersey, and a New Era 5950 baseball cap. Accompanying the partnered offerings, the legendary graffiti artist will throw the first pitch of the game and paint a unique piece at the Citi Field stadium during the Mets and Pirates face-off this July 27.

Only VIP ticket holders at the upcoming game will be able to receive the promotional gift box containing all three items. Tickets go on sale this July 17 at 5 p.m. EST. For those who are not able to attend the game, the limited units for the rest of the world are available on July 22 beyond the tri-state region: NY, NJ, and CT.

Art toy developer Pop Life Global teamed up with Futura to launch an exclusive vinyl figure at San Diego Comic-Con. Named ‘Johnny,’ the 10-inch tall collectible takes the form of one of the graffiti legend’s new trademark characters complete with sharp line detailing across its black-and-white features.

‘Johnny’ is currently available for purchase at the MINDstyle booth (#5145) for $150 USD in limited quantities– the price is quite a steal considering the artist’s recent ‘Fl-001’ vinyl and metallic sculptures were priced between $350-$30,000 USD. SDCC is currently running until July 21. In related stories, Futura recently announced a new three-piece capsule collection with the New York Mets.

Ahead of Off-White™‘s Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2020 show later today, Virgil Abloh and Futura have given a first look at an upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration with Futura Laboratories. Announcing the live stream of the show on Instagram, Abloh posted two colorways of the sneaker complete with a number of signature Off-White™ x Nike motifs.

Coming in either bold orange with dark blue detailing or “UNC” light blue, the sneaker features a white hang tag, Off-White™ x Nike branding and “SHOELACES”-printed laces, overlaid with hiking-style laces. Elsewhere, both colorways feature Abloh and Futura’s signatures on the underside, which is visible through the semi-translucent sole unit.
