First teased by Irving himself and Tina Charles, Kyrie Irving’s forthcoming Spongebob Squarepants sneaker collaboration is nearly upon us. Encompassing five distinct colorways to represent much of the show’s main cast, the silhouettes include two of Irving’s signature models, with plenty of clever details hidden throughout.
Five of the Nickelodeon show’s key characters are reimagined atop the Kyrie 5 and Kyrie Low 2: Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy and Mr. Krabs. Each silhouette is executed in thematic colors that evoke the distinct style of each personality, from the faux-porous upper of the “Spongebob” to the shiny surface of the “Mr. Krabs,” reminiscent of the greedy crustacean’s cash stash. The “Spongebob” and “Patrick” shoes both feature “hand-drawn” character names behind the tongue — it’s fair to assume that each shoe boasts a distinctive signature of its own.
Expect the Spongebob-themed pack of Irving‘s signature shoes to hit stores in August.
Most recently, Irving used JAY-Z’s “Public Service Announcement” to help score a video explaining his move to the Brooklyn Nets.
Nike is adding bright, futuristic hues to the Air Max 720 “Black Multi.” Fully dressed in a sharp shade of black, this iteration is contrasted with neon streaks of yellow, green, red and purple slanted on the upper. A downsized swoosh can be found on the panel and toe box, alongside other branding elements on the tongue, heel and lower pull tab. The model is supported by a tonal Air Max 720 sole unit — Nike’s tallest one yet at 38mm — and tied together with black lacing.
The Nike Air Max 720 “Black Multi” is available now at select retailers like Billys Tokyo for approximately $180 USD.
The latest collaboration from READYMADE and Timberland has received a closer look, spotlighting the reworked 6-Inch Boot. For this release, the Yuta Hosokawa-led label has updated the signature silhouette with an inside-out aesthetic, as well as prominent READYMADE branding and bright orange secondary laces.
The inside-out theme is seen through the construction of the “Wheat” nubuck upper, and is particularly prominent around the tongue and lacing unit. This is complemented with touches of bright orange, including the secondary set of laces and the Vibram outsole. Another stand-out feature of the shoe is its READYMADE branding, which appears on both the hang tag and the heel. The branded heel tab is constructed from the same blue foam usually used for the collar, which is now exposed in a transparent casing.

Next up on the Jordan Brand‘s Flight Utility line is an understated take on the modern-looking Proto-Max 720.
Doused mostly in “Pale Ivory,” the silhouette brings a touch of elegance and simplicity to the otherwise futuristic style of the shoe. The pale tone is complemented by a “Midnight Navy” tongue and throat, paired with matching laces and heel tabs. Contrasting detailing can be found all over the sneaker, from its logos on the tongue and heel tab to the text riding up its lateral side and onto the overlaid strap wrapping around the heel. The minimalist upper then gets paired with its usual chunky midsole in pristine white to add to the tonal look. Completing the shoe is a 720-style Air unit and milky outsole, and “Ice Blue” plastic heel counter.
Jordan Brand’s Proto-Max 720 “Pale Ivy/Midnight Navy” is now available over at atmos Tokyo, retailing for ¥20,000 JPY or roughly $185 USD.
Tyshawn Jones‘ signature adidas Skateboarding model is now coming in a luxe green and white colorway. Created by Jones and former pro skater turned footwear design director, Scott Johnston, its silhouette reflects a visual statement built and tested by Jones himself.
When discussing his pro model, Jones states, “It symbolizes that if you keep working hard, you can get the things you actually want and dream-—you just have to go through the stepping stones.”
Drawing inspiration from basketball aesthetics and design elements, the sneaker features an Adituff reinforced toe, EVA midsole, and inner vulc wrap for skateboarders in mind. It also utilizes a PU molded sockliner and memory foam tongue for all-day wearability. What’s more is that the sneakers are accompanied by TJ Firebird track jacket and white Cargo pants, both featuring an embroidery of his beloved bulldog Snickers.
The adidas Tyshawn in green and white will retail for $85 USD on July 18 at specialty skateboard retailers worldwide and on the adidas Skateboarding website.

Since 2008, Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi has been seen extensively in player exclusive color ways of LeBron James’ signature sneaker line. Since then she’s remained a part of Team LeBron, equally finding a role next to the NBA star in the upcoming Space Jam sequel. After undergoing back surgery last season, Taurusi rejoined alongside her team Friday evening (July 13) to retake her role as one of the most prolific WNBA guards in history, doing so in a brand new pair of the Nike LeBron 16 PE in a startling purple-based colorway.
The newly revealed shoes upper remains doused in purple flyknit, with faux leopard fur panels emblazoned on the heel. More details include a gold Swoosh on the lateral heel, with a similar leopard pattern marking the tongue. Rounding off the sneaker is a vibrantly-colored outsole air unit.
You can take a look at the Nike LeBron 16 PE “Diana Taurasi” in the gallery above. Likely a player exclusive, Nike currently has no release information regarding the shoe.
