Following the release of its custom rainbow-stoned Rolex Daytona, MAD Paris has dropped a stealthy black sapphire Daytona 40mm featuring bright blue detailing.
Its black diamond-like carbon coating (DLC) encompasses elements such as high corrosion resistance and increased hardness and has been used to cover the entire watch all around. The coating gives the Daytona a matte-black finish, which offsets MAD Paris’ use of shiny black sapphires to decorate the bezel.
The face is finished in black and features a blue Rolex crown, hands and time indicators, as well as three additional dials for time measurements placed at three, six and nine o’clock finished in brushed silver. On the reverse of the watch is an exposed 4130 movement — a self-winding mechanical certified Swiss chronograph developed by Rolex — which is highlighted by engraved MAD Paris branding around its trim.
Rounding off the watch is black DLC hardware, an Oyster bracelet — which is constructed of a string of three-piece links for superior wrist comfort — and a custom-designed box which matches the watches dark aesthetic.

YMC has teamed up with Timex on a limited edition “Burnt Rubber Brown” rendition of its classic military-influenced MK1 watch.
The Timex MK1 was originally released in 1982 and was distributed to the military as a throwaway watch, having a closed case that meant new batteries could not be added. Its simplistic construction made it clean and easy to use as well as allowing for mass production.
Following its 2016 revival, which saw the watch get a contemporary mechanical update enabling the watch to last — rather than be thrown away — the two brands have now collaborated to bring back the MK1 in a YMC-speciality shade. The watch is available in limited quantities and ties into YMC’s current seasonal roster of hues, complementing the likes of its brown patchwork Paraboots collaboration. The watch features a black face which is decorated with a retro-themed cream dial, as well as YMC branding on the face and on the outside of the strap. It is complete with water resistance up to 30-meters and a custom box.
To celebrate the YMC x Timex MK1, the duo teamed up with Hidden Agency to create a visual highlighting the timepiece’s legacy. It draws inspiration from classic ’80s movies such as The Goonies and The Never Ending Story, while referencing video techniques taken from Powell Peralta’s skateboarding films. Check out the video below and pick up your YMC x Timex MK1 at YMC stores and online for £74 GBP (approx. $92 USD).
French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has put a modern twist on one of its most classic heritage pieces: the Bisten suitcase. The new Monogram Titane collection sees the iconic range dressed up in a titanium external finishing, complete with LV’s monogram design laser-engraved onto the surface. The usual brass components have been replaced with ruthenium hardware, a rare platinum metal providing sleek black detailing for a truly luxurious look.
Elsewhere on the suitcase, natural cowhide leather wraps around the corners and the handle, offering both protection and an elevated aesthetic. The interior is lined with a matching grey microfiber, coupled with cotton straps to keep your belongings secure. As with its non-metallic counterpart, the Monogram Titane suitcases are secured via two side clasps and a central lock closure and key. Louis Vuitton offers three models of varying sizes to choose from: the 50, 55, and 60.
For those interested, the Louis Vuitton Bisten Monogram Titane Collection is now available at retailers and online, selling for $41,000 USD for the 50, $43,500 USD for the 55, and $46,500 USD for the 60.
