Every time we see a Star Wars x adidas Originals sneaker, we’re transported to another universe in terms of outlandish designs and faithful character references, but nothing compares to the duo’s latest pair — the Rivalry Hi “Chewbacca.”
The legendary Wookiee warrior has been honored through-and-through with his own pair of Rivalry Hi sneakers, which are made from leather, suede, and a faux fur fabric that looks as if your feet have turned into Chewbacca’s. adidas Originals has used a color palette consisting of “Raw Desert,” “Mesa,” and “Chalk White,” to further channel the Wookie realness.
There are also a number of other details that help bring this shoe to life. For example, a strap on the tongue is a nod to the belt Chewbacca wore during Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, while “STAR” and “WARS” lace locks have been added in chrome silver to make sure you know exactly what you’re repping.
Chewbacca’s face and name grace the tonal tongue tag, while his entire seven-foot, five-inch body has been shrunk to fit on the insole. On the interior side of the tongue tag there is a further reference to the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, and rounding out the pair is a debossed Trefoil logo on the heel.
The Star Wars x adidas Originals Rivalry Hi “Chewbacca” is set to release on adidas’ website on October 21 for £119.95 GBP (approx. $155 USD). Dubbed the Y-3 FYW S-97 II, the pair comes in “Black/Footwear White” and “Chalk White/Bold Blue/Ecru Tint,” and presents plenty of changes aside from the obvious newly-added height. Whereas the inaugural pair was made from Primeknit, overlayed with leather and suede detailing all around, the S-97 II is made entirely from a canvas textile and suede base.
Elsewhere, the sneaker is fitted with a foam-cushioned heel collar, and is fully lined in leather. The use of leather continues to decorate the three stripes on the sides. Rounding out both pairs is the Y-3 branding on the tongue, and its signature FYW S-97 sole unit.
This is the same sole unit found on the low top pair, meaning it delivers a full-length serving of BOOST and is caged in TPU housing.

The sneaker retails for €349 EUR (approx. $415 USD).In celebration of LeBron James‘ place on the Los Angeles Lakers, Nike has put together a take on the LeBron Soldier 14 honoring the team’s signature yellow and gold color scheme.
Similar to the tooling of the LeBron 7 “Lakers,” the upcoming release is centered around a mix and match look. The right side sports a bright yellow upper, while the left is done in purple. Each upper is accented by the alternate color and heat welded overlays of grey around the heel. Elevating the shoe are sole units that continue the mixed look. The left shoe features a grey midsole with a navy gridded segment paired with a black rubber outsole and the right comes complete with a white rubber outsole.

Following closely behind the reveal of the Dunk High “Pro Green,” the “Michigan” is a true blast from the past — one that made its debut in 1985, representing the Michigan Wolverines in Nike‘s influential “Be True to Your School” pack. The “Michigan” last released in 2016 to a vastly different market, and hit clearance racks in great numbers. However, with the Dunk enjoying a moment as 2020’s most popular Swoosh lifestyle silhouette this “Michigan” re-release is sure to serve as a celebration of 35 years of history.
U of M’s signature maize and navy blue hues are spread across the upper: the former hits quarters, toeboxes, collars and tongues, while the latter graces mudguards, eyestays, Swooshes, collar flaps, heels and laces. Both are brought together on the branded tongue tag. In true ‘85 style, the whole top half is built of supple leather, save for the nylon tongue. White midsoles and navy outsoles round off the look.
The Nike Dunk High “Michigan” is set to release via Nike SNKRS on September 23, and is priced at $110 USD.Jordan Brand‘s Jumpman MLB roster has come together to create their own Jordan Max 200 player exclusive, and the family were also gifted a very special pair of Air Jordan 5s.
The P.E. Max 200 is a colorful, yet wearable pair of sneakers that combine “Wolf Grey,” “Valor Blue,” “College Navy,” “Volt,” “Tiger Camo” and white together, giving the shoe a highly unique and recognizable design. The “Tiger Camo” appears in the blue, green, and white tones and graces the silhouette’s toe box, collar, and outsole, while flashes of “Volt” highlight standard Jordan and Jumpman details.
Elsewhere on the Max 200, the MLB family has added a shield on the heel that reads “WE ARE XII,” representing the 11 active players as well as the recently retired CC Sabathia, who was involved in the design of this pair. Player initials and a number representing their seniority in roman numerals also appears on the shield, while on the other foot’s heel, you’ll see a multicolored piece of Nike branding.
In addition to their own custom Jordan Max 200, the Jumpman MLB family were also gifted a pair of Air Jordan 5s that draw inspiration from vintage wool baseball jerseys. “University Red,” “Black,” “Fossil,” “Sail” and “Gum Light Brown” all appear on the upper, as does a collegiate Jordan-embroidered patch on the heel.
The pair is finished with vintage, worn-in details such as yellowing on the sole unit and on the plastic caging on the mid-panel, as well as felt-like piping, a sunflower seed graphic on the insoles, and individually numbered inner tongue stitching.

Trailing behind the “Industrial Blue” variant, the retrofuturistic sneaker now arrives in a fall-ready makeup consisting of “Apple Green,” “Yellow Strike” and black tones.
The dynamic green shade is generously adorned across the silhouette, hitting the midsoles, bottom overlays, reinforced lacestays, tongues and the signature FlyEase protruding heel caps. The luminous yellow tone is observed outlining the outstretched back portion, check insignias, ankle collars and the front treading on the soles. The tonal black accents are dressed atop the primary frontal and side overlays as well as the ridged midsole paneling that secures the Air Max bubble cushioning system.
Nike’s Tobie Hatfield designed the Air Max 90 FlyEase with convenience and comfort in mind. Hatfield’s vision for the shoe was to be a reimagined icon that wearers can step easily into as the heel snaps back into place upon entry for a snug fit. FlyEase tech is also employed in over 20 footwear styles across basketball, running and sportswear silhouettes.
