India Shawn has brought on Anderson .Paak for her latest single “Movin’ On” — a long time coming since releasing her 2015 EP Outer Limits. India had Anderson .Paak make his directorial debut with the song’s music video, aptly set in her hometown of L.A.
Measuring at a little under the four-minute mark, the song is imbued with a vibrant, summertime R&B groove, driven by crisp drums and plenty of vocal harmonies. India glides seamlessly over the textured instrumentals with smooth vocals that give the song a light, soulful feel, while .Paak’s feature complements the song’s buoyant melody with a rap verse. The track’s accompanying music video includes cameos of members of the Free Nationals as well as artists Ambré and Kirby.
