After unveiling an upcoming black and olive colorway of its Lunar Force 1 Duckboot High, Nike recently announced it is set to release even more iterations of the winter ready model. Turning its attention to the Low version of the shoe, the Lunar Force 1 Duckboot receives a “Triple Black” and “Sequoia” makeover. Featuring a durable upper and rugged lunar foam sole unit accented by boot style metal eyelets and 3M lace hits, the newest takes on the weather ready shoe are perfect for the cold and rough months ahead. Retailing at $140 USD, the “Triple Black” and “Sequoia” Nike Lunar Force 1 Duckboot Low is set to release online and at select Nike retailers on September 15.

As we count down the final days of the spring/summer fashion season, it’s time to prep for colder nights and unpredictable weather. Footwear is essential as those summer-ready runners won’t be able to withstand snow and unstoppable rain, so with that Nike contributes its latest Lunar Force 1 Duckboot. Resurfacing around the same time each year, the Air Force 1 inspired boot received a rugged makeover.
It hosts a more durable upper while resting atop a rugged rubber outsole for the ultimate traction on difficult terrain. The Air Force 1′s traditional midsole is swapped for Lunar foam in order to deliver a lightweight feel without compromising its weather protection. D-rings make their way onto its lacing system for a secure lockdown.
Retailing for $170 USD, Nike’s Lunar Force 1 Duckboot is set to launch in black and olive colorways on September 15 at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike SNKRS.
Consistently challenging expectation and dividing opinion, Gosha Rubchinskiy’s latest collaboration with adidas is now available to buy. The adidas Copa sneaker marks the most recent in a long line of collaborations for the designer and was originally part of his fall/winter 2017 range — titled “The Football Collection.”
The shoe itself comes in a clean and simple design — ideal for fans of Rubchinskiy’s clothing — featuring a suede toe panel, three stripe detailing and tonal branding to the side, and a gum outsole.
The Gosha Rubchinskiy x adidas Copa sneaker costs approximately $200 USD and is available from Dover Street Market’s web store. With this being the latest in a long run of drops it’s been a busy time for Rubchinskiy, who recently made the BoF 500 list.
adidas‘ Y-3 collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto is known for pushing the boundaries of technical fashion, but for its latest footwear release the brand pays tribute to the natural world. The “Moss Green” colorway of its Y-3 Ryo sneaker ties in with the brand’s fall/winter 2017 collection, which brings natural and technological influences together.
The shoe itself is a trail sneaker that comes with a sock-like fit in mesh, a quick leather strap closure and welded TPU details on the tongue and heel cap. While the sneaker’s earthy colorway of tonal greens is the natural element, the technical influence is apparent in both its aesthetic and the use of fabrics such as a water-repellant textile vamp lining, Poron performance cushioning on the sock liner and an outsole of EVA and rubber. The Y-3 Ryo sneaker in “Moss Green” is available now from retailers including Portugal’s Wrong Weather, with the price set at $313 USD.
This year also marks 15 years since Yohji Yamamoto and adidas first began working together — a milestone that has been commemorated with a limited-edition T-shirt.
The first collaboration between streetwear label mastermind JAPAN and America’s Cole Haan was unveiled for spring/summer 2016, and the two brands have reunited for the fall/winter 2017 season to create a fresh take on the 2.ZERØGRAND silhouette. The latest collaborative shoe features classic Cole Haan touches, such as an integrated motion outsole, Flex welt and energy foam footbed cushions to maximize comfort.
The shoe comes with an all-black leather upper, as well as either a white or black sole. It also references mastermind’s punk roots with the brand’s iconic skull and cross bones logo appearing as detailing on the upper, the inner lining and as a repeated print on the sole’s heel and toe. mastermind JAPAN’s take on Cole Haan’s 2.ZERØGRAND is available now from the American brand’s web store, with the shoe’s priced at $320 USD.
This isn’t the only footwear collaboration that mastermind has unveiled recently, with the brand also teaming up with SUICOKE for an ELS-VM2 boot.
