Following a few teasers via his personal Instagram account, A$AP Nast and Converse have officially announced its forthcoming collaboration. Aside from torching the microphone alongside his A$AP Mob members, Nast is known for his infatuation with mid-century modern furniture. This personal interest has translated to collaborative footwear that incorporates a selection of textures, patterns and shades that are inspired by his favorite period of design heritage.
Within the joint project, Converse’s One Star and Chuck Taylor All Star 70 models will be complemented by a T-shirt reading “Somewhere in Mid-Century” in cardinal, dark chocolate and cream color options. The One Star hosts a soft corduroy upper in Arrowhead coloring that’s topped off by fuzzy laces and Converse’s star logo in Red Dahlia leather while the Chuck Taylor All Star 70 boasts a plaid upper with additional lace options. Both sneakers’ sidewalls present the aforementioned “Somewhere in Mid-Century” tag to bring the collaboration full circle.
Slated to drop on September 28 at 5 p.m. EST, the A$AP Nast x Converse capsule collection will exclusively drop at Foot Locker’s Time Square location.
