Just like JENNIFER – Bobby Hundred’s new line – another men’s streetwear label is designing womenswear now. Said label is Los Angeles-based Stampd. On the inspiration, Chris Stamp cited his girlfriend:
He told Vogue:
“She got really excited about a lot of the clothes and wanted them for herself. So we wound up identifying key styles from spring that we knew would lend themselves really well to a female.”Selections in the six-item collection include outerwear like Strapped Bombers and Washed Zipper Trench Jacket – available in black and military – and a Tracksuit set. It’s similar to the men’s collections and that’s the beauty about the capsule. The brand’s core should remain the same regardless what the gender is.
He told Vogue:
“We’ve been playing with the idea of expanding into the womenswear category for some time. When we’re designing, we are thinking about our guy and how to take him to the next level, but we’re also thinking about how a woman might wear our pieces too.”
