For those who feel that they’re familiar with Burberry‘s designs, think again. Following its buzzy collaboration with Gosha Rubchinskiy, the storied English fashion house has unveiled a streetwear-influenced range for its latest see-now-buy-now presentation.
For Fall/Winter 2017, Christopher Bailey has fused high and low-brow aesthetics to create a uniquely British collection. The designer tells Vogue backstage that the show was meant to be “A little more honest, a little less polished.” A youthful collection all in all, models such as Adwoa Aboah and Kaia Gerber were seen strutting down the runway in translucent plastic jackets and tartan coats, paired with argyle socks and open-toe heels. From checkered baseball caps to the Giant reversible tote, statement accessories also play a key role in this collection.
