It looks like streetwear giants BAPE and adidas will be continuing its ongoing collaborative efforts this year on a new set of sneakers and apparel items.
According to famed streetwear leaker Supreme Leak News, it’s rumored the upcoming collaboration will include the adidas Originals Samba silhouette, of course, decked out in BAPE’s signature 1ST CAMO. Thanks to @snkrmob, a mockup of the sneaker can be seen above, which may differ from the actual product. Let us know if you are exciting for the forthcoming collaboration and what items you’re hoping to see in the capsule.
Taking a break from its retro releases and special colorways, Jordan Brand recently released a new iteration of the Air Jordan Son Of Mars Low.
The latest take on Spike Lee‘s collaborative shoe draws from the bright red found on the “Toro” Air Jordan 4 to the highlight the design of the amalgam silhouette. Luxurious red nubuck leather dominates the upper and is accented by a black mudguard, lining and laces. While a Jumpman emblazoned heel tag, “Son of Mars” lace locks and a contrasting sole unit round up the design of the shoe.
Priced at $180 USD, the “Toro” Air Jordan Son Of Mars Low is available now at retailers like Footshop.
Last seen sporting a black/red/yellow tonal scheme, Nike keeps its Air VaporMax Flyknit 2.0 model moving forward with this eye-catching “Crimson Pulse” colorway option. The uppers feature the Swoosh brand’s signature Flyknit construction all throughout with a matching-hued heel counter sitting behind. Subtle hits of white landing on the side panel Swoosh and Air Max tongue branding provides tonal contrast, all of which sits atop a semi-translucent VaporMax cushioning unit.
Although no release date has yet been confirmed, you can expect this Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit 2.0 “Crimson Pulse” at select Nike retailers in the near future.
According to reports, Converse and Jordan Brand are working on a collaborative release, with two classic Jordan silhouettes getting a rework. The relationship between the two brands goes back further than their shared Nike ownership, with Michael Jordan himself stepping out in a pair of Converse Fastbreaks in the 1984 Olympic final — this pair sold for a record $190,373 USD.
There’s no news yet on what to expect from the collaboration, although it is rumored to include the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 11 silhouettes. There is also speculation about the format that the capsule will take, with suggestions that it could be a joint release — similar to last summer’s “Alumni Pack” — rather than an actual collaboration.
After kicking off the week with a “Crimson Pulse” version of the Air VaporMax Flyknit 2.0, Nike swiftly returns with another new spin on the popular silhouette.
This time around, the Swoosh opts for a “Light Cream” iteration of the Flyknit-constructed silhouette. Featuring a blend of metallic gold, light cream and white, Nike puts together a shoe that tastefully stands out, producing yet another accessible sneaker. A lighter-toned selection, this latest Vapormax is a perfect option for the forthcoming warmer seasons.
You can take a look at the Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit 2.0 in “Light Cream” above, and stay tuned for concrete details surrounding the style’s official release date. The shoe is expected to retail for $190 USD.
