Building on previous teasers, we recently received yet another look at A$AP Rocky‘s upcoming Under Armour signature shoe.
Courtesy of A$AP Lou, the new look reveals that the plush tongue reads “DESIGNED BY YOURS TRULY IN ASSOCIATION WITH UNDER ARMOUR” with AWGE branding rounding out the text-heavy design note. Reminiscent of the Osiris D3, a blocky skate-inspired shape is found on the shoe while large lacing overlays dominate the upper. Finally a segmented sole unit complete with cushioning pods rounds up the design of the shoe. No official release notes have been released just yet, but the new preview proves that we can expect special packaging and laces centered around the TESTING crash test theme.
Mark Wahlberg has long harbored a deep devotion to the Air Jordan catalog, sporting a wide variety of silhouette styles while out in public, in addition to being seeded exclusive silhouettes, and even boasting an official collab with the Jordan Brand family.
While attending the grand opening of his Wahlburgers restaurant at the Mall of America in Minnesota last week, the action film star greeted those in attendance wearing a pair of custom Air Jordan 4s. Bright green envelops the upper with what appears to be a translucent outsole, along with detachable Wahlburgers-branded tongue patches. Whether these kicks will see a general release still has yet to be confirmed, so be sure to check back for updates.
For Game 2 of the 2018 NBA Finals, LeBron James stepped onto the Oracle Arena hardwood sporting yet another PE version of his signature Nike LeBron 15 silhouette. Aiming to head back to Cleveland with the series knotted at one game apiece, the Golden State Warriors were able to withstand a typical LeBron James flurry, as former MVP Steph Curry took it upon himself to bury his opposition via the long ball.
The shoes took on a Cleveland Cavaliers-inspired color scheme with burgundy and gold featured heavily throughout. “True Yellow” finds its place on the ankle collar, while a subtle speckle design helps accentuate the midsole, as does the King’s customary scribble detail, highlighting his most cherished family members — known otherwise as the #JamesGang.
Kobe Bryant’s new silhouette, the Nike Kobe AD NXT 360, made its debut earlier this year with the help of Toronto Raptors’ all-star guard DeMar DeRozan and now comes to us dressed in a new themed color scheme.
The rework highlights a white Flyknit-fashioned upper, giving way to an iridescent Swoosh found on the lateral side, with silver finding a place on the heel region and red making its presence felt on the back side branding. Sitting directly below is the grooved “Infrared” rubber sole unit. Priced at $200 USD, the Nike Kobe AD NXT 360 “Infrared” will make its debut on June 14 at such retailers as Foot Locker.
Previously thought to be releasing towards the end of the month, the Travis Scott and Nike “Cactus Jack” Air Jordan 4 is dropping ahead of schedule. Thanks to Canadian retailer Livestock, we now have a confirmed release date of June 9.
The bright combination of University Blue, white, black and red make this truly a standout sneaker for the summer. Cactus Jack branding makes its way onto the hang tag and heel tab, normally reserved for the Jumpman. A silver Jumpman logo on the tongue perfectly complements the speckled wing tabs and heel counter.
Take a look at some detail shots above and head over to retailers like Livestock on June 9 to purchase for $300 CAD, about $230 USD. In related news, Travis Scott just said during an interview with 032c magazine, “The songs on this album are a little weirder than I ever had before,” in regards to Astroworld.
