With James Harden crowned MVP for the NBA’s 2017-18 season, adidas Basketball is kicking up its celebrations for its key brand ambassador.
Although an MVP pack was already revealed, fellow brand ambassador Pharrell recently unveiled a Harden MVP-focused take on his adidas Crazy BYW X collab. Revealed via P’s Instagram, the special sneaker has a Houston Rockets red base upper accented by blue, green and yellow dynamic line details. Colorful elements continued on the bulbous segmented sole and distinctive “MVP 13” text on the tongue round up the design of the shoes.
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a public release planned for the Pharrell x adidas Crazy BYW X James Harden “MVP 13,” but check out the special shoes above for a first look.
Fresh off his MVP win for the 2017-18 NBA season, German confectionery brand Trolli has once agin created life-sized versions of James Harden‘s adidas Harden Vol. 2 signature sneakers in celebration.
Taking on the “MVP” colorway that was shorty introduced after Harden’s win, the candy sneaker features raspberry, lemon, strawberry and blackberry-flavored pieces. Aptly named Trolli’s “Most Valuable Candy,” the life-sized adidas Harden Vol. 2 sneaker will be limited to three pairs only and available to purchase exclusively on Amazon this Friday, June 29 for $2,677 USD each, with all proceeds going to Harden’s charity 3 The Harden Way. Back in April we shared information regarding the potential launch date of the adidas YEEZY 500 “Utility Black.” Today additional imagery has surfaced of the forthcoming drop from Kanye West and the Three Stripes. Presented in a lighter shade of black than the previous preview, its cow suede, premium leather, mesh and nubuck materials are once again found on the upper. The signature adiPRENE+ cushioning also returns with reflective piping accents found around the diameter.
The Utility Black would be the third iteration of the 500, following the “Supermoon Yellow” and “Blush.” Retailing for $220 USD, the adidas YEEZY 500 “Utility Black” is rumored to arrive on July 7 at select adidas stockists, the confirmed app, adidas.com and YEEZY SUPPLY.
adidas Skateboarding’s relatively new 3ST.002 silhouette is bound for a multicolored upgrade, which should drop sometime later this summer. Last seen on the feet of Blondey McCoy in Slam City Skates’ latest video, the contemporary runner will soon make its debut in a subdued, yet colorful Primeknit-fashioned makeover.
The lower portion of the uppers combines a stylized mix of grey, blue, pink and brown, while a solid patch of grey creeps up towards the ankle. A translucent sole unit, complete with molded accents strategically placed above the midsole — which seasoned skaters will recognize as areas often worn out from excessive riding — adding both functional and fashionable flair. Rounding out the new model is the grey/pink striped heel pull tab. Price and release date still has yet to be confirmed, so be sure to check back for future updates.
