Original Story Jan 27, 2019): A Friends edition of the Nike Kyrie 5 is set to be released very soon. Die-hard fans of the All-Star NBA player know all too well about his obsession with the sitcom, and that he has its logo tattooed across his arm.
As seen from the early images of the new iteration, provided by sneaker_speculation, teal, yellow and orange lace stays secure the red-speckled laces through the venus flytrap-inspired overlay. Contrasting the black and orange midsole is a white outsole that boasts multi-colored accents, while a white Swoosh motif with the official Friends logo solidifies this as an official collab with the TV show. Another Friends logo can also be found on the insole.

HBO Asia celebrates the coming season 8 of Game of Thrones with the release of four custom pairs of adidas trainers. Tapping into some of the non-extinct houses as well as the White Walkers, we see House Lannister translated in a black, red and gold pair of Continental 80s, House Stark represented by a pair of earthy adidas Falcons, House Targaryen in the form of a desert-camo Stan Smith, and finally the White Walkers by the adidas Micro R1.
On top of getting custom paint jobs that reflect each house’s respective colors, the sneakers also see gold foil crest stampings and ornamentation via leather collar skirts, beadwork, and metal hardware. It feels like the entire world is waiting for GoT‘s final season to air, and this foray into footwear is just another way HBO Asia is creatively building up more excitement. We’ll have to see come April 14 if the 8th season lives up to the buzz.
atmos will be releasing a limited-edition pair of ASICSTIGER HyperGEL-LYTEs, a graphic-heavy sneaker that blends the OG GEL-LYTE design with a confetti-imbued sole unit. The exclusive pair is mounted atop the latest GEL technology, making for a sole unit that blends responsive TPU beads with the cushioning properties of GEL.
The classic ’90s runner receives more than just a technical update, however. Sporting a white/black split, the shoe reveals underneath its tiger stripe branding and across the toe box and tongue a bold baroque print. Featuring a subtle hexagonal embossed print on the white uppers, the floral baroque sneakers are completed with a purple outsole and matching eyelets.
Threaded with black on white rope laces, the pair is finished with a final touch of faux-snake embossed leather panels on both the lateral and medial sides, and finally, minimal gold foil branding on the heel cup. The pair will be available via atmos Tokyo on April 12, with a price tag of JP¥ 15,120 (approx. $135 USD).
After marking its Rhyton sneaker with a striking Tiger motif, Gucci builds on the chunky footwear with a new multicolor logo edition. The label delved into its own archives to draw influence from retro prints hailing from the 1980s, resulting in an iridescent branding patch that illuminates the all-black style.
This latest version of the Rhyton is pared down with a dark foundation on the upper, which is constructed of 100% leather. Its rainbow-colored Gucci emblem rests on the side panels, providing the only splash of color on the kicks. Tonal black laces are met by a white tongue patch for contrast, while a gum rubber outsole offers a clean base. Leather returns to line the interior of the shoe, finishing off the elevated model.
Gucci’s Rhyton Logo Sneakers are priced at $890 USD and available to purchase now from the label’s webstore, as well as select retailers such as BROWNS.
