Last year, adidas Originals teased a new footwear collaboration with actor and writer Donald Glover. The short announcement clip shows an animated Glover putting on a pair of Three Stripes shoes that resembles the ’70s Nizza silhouette. We finally get a closer look at the sneaker courtesy of Jemuel Wong, an avid adi enthusiast.
The low-tops sneaker features a distressed canvas upper with blue and white-striped canvas laces. The signature Three Stripes insignia is run along the lateral in an off-white shade to contrast the stark midsole.
There is no official release information for the adidas x Donald Glover sneaker. According to rumors, apparel will be released alongside the footwear. Preview the collaboration above and stay tuned for more information.
Vans is prepping us for the summer with a new “Candy Stripe” pack that features the Era and Slip-On. The trio gives off a beach-side vibes thanks to the red, green and blue stripes that run along each frame. A subtle cream color is used instead of white to contrast the bold hues. This style is perfect for the upcoming warm weather and transitions well from the beach to the street.
The “Candy Stripe” pack is available at select Vans retailers and at Vans’ online store for $80 USD each.
Nike‘s Air Max 270 arrives in a new pastel colorway. A collection of teal, pink, yellow and blue tones are used to draw out the shoe’s best features. The oversized Air Max Unit appears in an eye-turning ocean blue shade. Its white upper is accented with mustard yellow Swooshes, teal overlays and a pink lining. The lacing system is secured with multicolored tabs resting just above the green Air Max text tag on the tongue.
Nike has been on a roll with the new Air Max colorways. The footwear giant recently celebrated Air Max Day 2019 with announcements of a Heron Preston collaboration and “On Air” releases.The most recent option to join the mix is the Air Max 1 Premium “Turquoise.” Its monochrome upper is crafted from suede adding a smooth appearance to the frame. A mid-sized Swoosh is trailed along the lateral which it is debossed into. A white midsole interrupts the smooth blue hue leading into a “Turquoise” outsole.
The Cortez has been one of Nike‘s most beloved core silhouettes for decades and for good reason too; its distinctive shape made it a ’70s icon that’s been easy to update over the years. The latest iteration follows the same color palette of the newly-released Air Max 90, with vibrant shades of orange and pink giving the shoe a summer-ready look.
The upper has a mostly clean, smooth white leather finish with tonal stitching throughout. To contrast, there’s a bold “Laser Fuchsia” Swoosh on the sidewall with branding on the tongue to match. Sunny “Laser Orange” slices through the white midsole and also lands on the heel, with Nike text branding etched in a slightly darker hue.
