SPORTS: Tiger Woods Wins 2019 Masters, His 15th Major Championship

Tiger Woods Wins 2019 Masters
Tiger Woods has won the 2019 Masters, one of golf’s most prestigious contests – it’s his 5th time winning the major and it’s also his 15th major championship. Woods has not won a major tournament since 2008 and he did so now in dramatic fashion posting a final round 70 to capture glory.
2005 was the last year Woods wore the Green Jacket and becomes the second-most to do so in the history of sports — Jack Nicklaus has six. The 43-year old golf legend took the win by walking up to hole 17 with a two-stroke lead ahead Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka. He claimed victory by finishing with a par then a bogey putt at the 18th. You can see the last stroke in the video below.
Woods has won the Masters in 1997, 2000, 2001, 2005 and now 2019. This 2019 win at Augusta is perhaps one of the greatest comeback stories in sports where Woods had experienced an 11-year major drought. His last major win was at the U.S. Open in 2008. Since then, from that year until recently, the golf icon has suffered neck and achilles injuries and had required about three back surgeries to even get back to close to top form. This win is definitely one for the ages for Woods and the sport of golf.
