An original Mazda MX-5 has just popped up on eBay with only 9,000 miles on the odometer. With classic Japanese cars on the rise, seeing this bit of history in such good condition is a rarity.
While the 113 horsepower from the 1.6-liter inline-four was nothing to brag about, the MX-5 was one of the more enjoyable roadsters to drive as it handled well, was RWD, and was also lightweight. This current version is the limited edition (1,505 examples made) which sees stiffer suspension, front and rear spoilers, an LSD, 14-inch BBS rims, air conditioning, red-leather interior, a woodgrain center panel, and both a hard and soft top.
This immaculate NA MX-5 does not come cheap, however, if you consider the skyrocketing prices of other classic Japanese cars, this may be the car to hold onto for the future. Set at $17,900 USD OBO, the full sales listing can be found over at eBay.
American luxury watch maker Jacob & Co. has just announced a long-term partnership with French supercar manufacturer Bugatti. Along with its announcement came the unveiling of the first two pieces of their collaborative effort: the limited edition Twin Turbo Furious Bugatti Edition and the Bugatti Chrono Edition Limitée 110 Ans.
The Twin Turbo Furious Bugatti Edition features a Bugatti logo centered in a turquoise blue-rimmed speedometer dial, the vibrant blue making up the colors of the French flag along with the red and white hands. The power reserve indicator is cleverly retitled “fuel,” with the gauge in three colored stripes mirroring the French flag once again. Only 39 units will be made, each having a unique number. 18 will be made in carbon fiber, another 18 in rose gold, and only three will be made with diamonds.
The second watch in the release — the Bugatti Chrono Edition Limitée 110 Ans — is based on Jacob & Co.’s Epic X Chrono, which utilizes a skeletonized self-winding chronograph movement. The forged carbon case holds a black dial with loud and vibrant French flag-colored stripes running down the center. Of course, the Bugatti logo is also featured on the dial. As a limited edition timepiece, only 110 units will be made for this model.
The Twin Turbo Furious Bugatti Edition comes at a retail price of 525,000 Swiss Francs, roughly $525,345 USD, and the Bugatti Chrono Edition Limitée 110 Ans will retail for 36,000 Swiss Francs, which equates to approximately $36,000 USD.
