Jennifer Lopez, who in 2019 became the global face of Coach, unveiled her very first handbag design for the brand. Created in collaboration with Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers, the versatile Hutton bag features a special patch inscribed with the singer’s signature.
The rectangular purse is constructed of pink and maroon leather accented with snakeskin print trim. Detailed with a brass turnlock closure and small ornamental studs, the bag also features a gold chain crossbody strap that can be converted into a shorter shoulder strap. “The colorblock leather and polished hardware details are really my style. It’s a bag that makes me look pulled together and ready for anything,” Lopez said of the collaboration.Coach pays tribute to legendary artist Jean-Michel Basquiat with a collection of accessories and apparel featuring his instantly recognizable artwork. A newly unveiled campaign stars Jennifer Lopez, Paloma Elsesser and Basquiat’s niece, Jessica Kelly, sporting the boldly graphic collaboration.
Basquiat’s signature crown emblazons boxy crossbody bags and structured fanny packs. A chain-adorned handbag in milk chocolate leather features the artist’s figurative sketch of the New York City skyline, while another in cream is embroidered with his all-caps handwriting spelling out “FAMOUS.” A flap-top backpack is decorated with a medley of Basquiat sketches in color and black-and-white. A curated selection of apparel includes a Pez Dispenser hoodie and bomber jacket, along with a Mecca T-shirt.
