DOPE WATCHES:

Timex Beams Collaboration Tortoise Shell Details ReleaseBEAMS and Timex have joined forces for a bespoke series of tortoise shell watches. The collaboration includes riffs on the classic three-needle Timex Camper and the Timex Classics Digital, available with a black watch face through BEAMS and a white colorway through BEAMS BOY.

Both models offer 3 ATM water resistance, with 10mm case thickness and 16mm lug width. The digital watch also includes the Timex Indiglo night light. The tortoise shell bracelet on each model has slightly different coloring, making every watch a one-of-a-kind statement piece.

All of the pieces can also be easily adapted to fit any wrist, thanks to adjustable watch bands, and each arrives in a special edition air-tight storage case from TIGHTVAC, crafted in the same material used for the tortoise shell bracelet.

The Timex x BEAMS collaborative models can be reserved via the BEAMS and BEAMS BOY web stores and are estimated to ship by mid-November. The watches are priced at ¥14,850 (approximately $141 USD). In the meantime, check out BEAMS’ collaboration with THE NORTH FACE PURPLE LABEL, featuring indigo-dyed field jackets, collar coats and more.tag heuer swiss watch luxury brand monaco chronograph in house movement caliber steel bracelet 20 yearstag heuer swiss watch luxury brand monaco chronograph in house movement caliber steel bracelet 20 yearsFinally, after 20 years being one of TAG Heuer‘s most iconic timepieces, the Monacois coming back with its very own metal bracelet.

Inspired by similar designs in the ’70s, the new bracelet carries an “H” design for its horizontal links, connected via smaller links running down the center, leading to a butterfly clasp with double safety push buttons. “The bracelet is particularly important for any wristwatch — without a good bracelet, the timepiece lacks desirability,” said the Swiss watchmaker’s Heritage Director, Catherine Eberlé-Devaux. “For the new Monaco timepieces, we have alluded to its brilliant past with a familiar design and color while reinforcing that the collection is moving forward with innovative new technology.”

The timepiece itself is now at a more modest 39 mm case size and come in two color options: black and blue. Open to view under a sapphire caseback is the new in-house caliber Heuer 02 chronograph, an automatic movement operating at 4Hz. To complement the racing pedigree of the watch, the movement features a speedy red column wheel with vertical clutch integrated chronograph function, a blacked-out and skeletonized rotor, as well as vertical Geneva stripes on the bridges. Power reserve comes in at an impressive 80 hours, with water-resistance at 100 meters.

For those interested, the black iterations of TAG Heuer’s new Monaco Chronograph 39 are now available, with the leather strap version going for $6,350 USD and the stainless steel bracelet version retailing at $6,750 USD. The blue edition will be available beginning January 2021.Casio G-SHOCK AW-500 Reissue News watches Japan Shock protection action sports watch Quartz Casio G-SHOCK AW-500 Reissue News watches Japan Shock protection action sports watch Quartz Casio G-SHOCK AW-500 Reissue News watches Japan Shock protection action sports watch Quartz Casio G-SHOCK AW-500 Reissue News watches Japan Shock protection action sports watch Quartz Casio is bringing back its first analog/digital G-SHOCK watch for the Fall season. Named the AW-500, the watch design was first seen in 1989 and was known for having both a traditional analog display with a dial and hands, and a rectangular LED digital display.

The reintroduction will see both a more affordable resin version and a premium stainless model. Both versions will offer the same G-SHOCK-standard of impact protection with 200 meters of water resistance. Functions include a stopwatch, alarm, backlight afterglow, dual time, Neobrite luminous hands, and calendar. The metal version sees a few more elevated details like solar charging and radio rave reception.

Sized at a hefty 47.7 mm in case size, the resin version weighs 58 grams while the stainless steel version comes in at 175 grams. Those interested in purchasing one of these re-editions can head over to CASIO where the G-SHOCK retails for ¥13,000 JPY and ¥60,000 JPY (approximately $125 USD and $570 USD) for the resin or stainless steel versions, respectively.new era caps 59fifty casio gshock gm 110 watches accessories 100th anniversary edition goldnew era caps 59fifty casio gshock gm 110 watches accessories 100th anniversary edition goldLong-time collaborators New Era and G-SHOCK has reunited once again, this time celebrating the American headwear company’s 100th anniversary.

Drawing inspiration from New Era’s iconic 59FIFTY cap and it’s gold sticker, the new timepiece uses G-SHOCK’s sturdy stainless steel GM-110 as its base, giving the watch a metallic gold and burnt-bronze makeover. Nods to the headwear company come in the form of a black logo on the gold dial as well as a custom engraved gold caseback, featuring the inscriptions such as “100,” “1920 – 2020,” and once again the brand’s logo.

Completing the 100th-anniversary edition are two watch band options: a black canvas option lined with green on the underside, and a gold-specked black urethane option. The former carries an embroidered New Era flag at the bottom end, while the latter holds a branded stainless steel keeper in gold.

Scheduled for release in late November, the collaborative 100th anniversary GM-110 will retail for ¥39,000 JPY (plus tax), or roughly $370 USD. Celebrating the important occasion, the London-based label has debuted two models inspired by Snoopy, depicting the character in two very different appearances.

While the first design shows Snoopy in his usual attire — surrounded by a black and white bezel — with his arms acting as the hour and minute hands, the second shows Superhero Snoopy. Dressed in a mask and complete with a yellow cape, the colors of the watch face are referenced in yellow detailing along the bezel and strap. Both watches also feature Snoopy’s sidekick Woodstock, who flies around Snoopy while also making up the second hand.

The two designs are both based on the Bamford GMT model, which features a Sellita SW330-1 movement and 24-hour GMT hand function. The watch is then finished with a strap produced from Cordura and a technical rubber compound, before the watch is packaged into Snoopy’s signature red doghouse.

Take a look at the watches in the gallery above. Both designs will be available from Bamford London and Dover Street Market, with just 70 of each model produced.
