Encompassing wearables, collectibles and events alike, the Places+Faces empire all centers around founders Ciesay and Soulz’ eponymous magazine, a covetable tome that compiles a host of their best shots and most memorable moments. The latest issue, Places+Faces Magazine Vol. 5, showcases a few famous friends, some up-and-comers and an international incense expert.
Shoots in Paris with the dearly-missed Pop Smoke and Japan with the scentmakers at Kuumba are but a taste of the latest magazine’s headline-stealing content. The duo travel across the world to lens Virgil Abloh, Evan Mock and Snoh Aalegra, even stopping for an ice cream break with emerging rapper Headie One. Elsewhere, the duo are off to the high seas for some deep ocean fishing alongside Beabadoobee.
The new issue launches October 16, 7 p.m. EST on Places+Faces’ website.
Recently, two bits of posthumous Pop Smoke content have emerged: the music video for “Diana” and the Lil Wayne feature “Iced Out Audemars (Remix).”Pop Smoke‘s posthumous debut album Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon is projected to return to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 15 weeks after it first released.
According to HITS Daily Double, the album is predicted to garner a total of 66,000 equivalent album units including 65,000 in streaming equivalent album units and 1,000 in track equivalent album units. As of writing, Shoot For The Stars is at No. 4and has yet to leave the chart’s top 10 since its release on July 3.
Shoot For The Stars made a historic No. 1 debut; Pop Smoke became the first and only hip-hop artist in history to posthumous open at No. 1 with a debut studio, and is one of only four hip-hop names with posthumous No. 1 efforts alongside 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G. and XXXTentacion.
