Following the release of its “Drew Barrymore” collaboration with PLEASURES last month, GUESS is set to drop another collection just in time for the Spring/Summer 2021 season. The range features timeless essentials for both men and women.
Pastel hues take over the silhouettes, making them ideal for transitioning from cooler to warmer months. Women’s styles arrive in the form of cropped tees and classic ringer T-shirts crafted from organic cotton. Elsewhere, the line consists of a lightweight terry cloth sweatshirt, sweatpant and sweat short set. For those who are bored of living in sweats, the lightweight stretch luxe stripe dress and biker shorts are perfect for lounging around at home in style. Rounding out the women’s offerings are the cropped mom jeans, high-rise jeans and carpenter fit denim. As for the men’s apparel, expect a selection of iconic striped tees, crinkle nylon shorts, slim and straight leg denim, as well as the new carpenter-inspired jean.
In addition, GUESS will introduce its Kit Program where “each silhouette included emphasizes premium denim and heritage styles from the brand’s design archives,” as per a press release. The program will consist of crewnecks, hoodies, chambray shirts and pocket tees for men, and ribbed tanks, bodysuits, mid-thigh shorts and denim jackets for women.
“This is the most robust and elevated collection we’ve provided at the GUESS Originals level,” GUESS’ Brand Partnerships Director Nicolai Marciano said in a press release. “There’s been a high demand for long-lasting, effortless silhouettes. Our customers are searching for high-quality apparel they can wear every day. We created this collection with versatility top of mind and designed year-round elevated staples for everyone.”

“The idea for the ‘Drew Barrymore’ capsule started three years ago on another project with PLEASURES,” said Director of Brand Partnerships at GUESS, Nicolai Marciano, in a press release. “There has been such an overwhelming number of people who mention her ‘93 campaign when they discuss GUESS’ most memorable work,” he added. “In comparison to other legacy models we have worked with in the past, the time period of Drew’s career felt like the perfect unexpected moment of nostalgia to introduce to a new generation of GUESS fans.”
The duo’s garments showcase unreleased photographs of the American actress from her campaign shoot with GUESS in 1993 shot by Wayne Maser. Standouts include the denim jacket and sweatsuit printed with vintage images of Barrymore, as well as the polka dot pants. Other offerings arrive in the form of tees, rib tank tops, hoodies, jeans, shorts, joggers and men’s underwear. Accessories like hats, tote bags, socks and sunglasses round out the line.
