Following Louis Vuitton‘s Fall/Winter 2021 Womenswear show yesterday, the luxury fashion house has just revealed its upcoming Summer 2021 Menswear capsule by Virgil Abloh.
Starring American rapper 21 Savage, the collection is comprised of casual fits with bold and eclectic colors and prints. Ranging from pastel-colored suits to Hawaiian shorts, the range is eye-catching and fun and captures Abloh’s recurring theme of the infinite.
The signature Louis Vuitton monogram print has gotten an update, this time taking on a watercolor-inspired design in the colors of the rainbow. Representing the creative youth and the lively season of summer, the collection captures long nights and warm days. Part of the collection has also been crafted from an environmental perspective, and globally, Louis Vuitton has committed to an eco-design strategy by 2025 that will include. 100% of its products. In the Summer 2021 capsule, the color palette has been created without chlorine or metals, and the cottons used are certified by the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) or the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
Lastly, Virgil Abloh has also served up a new range of accessories featuring the signature Keepall silhouette in the same colorful monogram, bucket hats, crossbody bags, enamelled rings, reversible belts and more. Of course, shoes are also featured in the capsule, including canvas and leather sneakers, as well as rubber mules.
