The Toronto Raptors are next in line to reveal a new uniform design under the Nike umbrella. Falling under the “City Edition” category, the Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan led squad joined forces with Drake’s OVO brand for a special jersey.
Boasting the line’s signature black and gold combo, it incorporates a six-pointed chevron arrow as an homage to the number of boroughs in Toronto. Its North stamp is self-explanatory as the Raptors express that it “represents a territory all our own.” This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Raptors sport the combo of black and gold, but it does mark it as the first time under the NBA’s deal with Nike. The team has also welcomed merch inspired by nostalgic designs from the ’90s in addition to limited “Drake Night” items.
The Toronto Raptors x OVO Edition jersey is currently available alongside additional apparel via Real Sports and OVO’s official webstore (Canada only).
The Air Jordan 8 — for the most part — has taken a backseat to its more famous Jordan Brand counterparts, however, is due to catch some shine in this upcoming collaboration alongside Drake’s OVO imprint. Although specific details have yet to be confirmed, previously leaked images showcase a predominantly white leather makeup with decorative perforations hitting the side panel and ankle collar, while gold accents spotted on the heel pull tab, side areas and outsole add subtle color contrast.
The Air Jordan 8 “OVO” was originally reported to make its long-awaited debut in January, but, is now believed to drop sometime around NBA All-Star weekend for a price of $225 USD. Be sure to check back for details as they emerge.

Adding to his ventures outside of the music industry, Drake recently opened a new restaurant in Toronto with label affiliate, OVO Chubbs. Taking to Instagram to report the opening of Pick 6ix, Drizzy posted a photo of Chubbs and himself standing in their new establishment situated in his hometown.
Although Pick 6ix is not officially open to the public just yet, Drizzy allowed LeBron James to throw a private party to celebrate Dwyane Wade‘s birthday. Located on the southern stretch of Yonge Street, steps away from where the Toronto Raptors play at the Air Canada Centre, Pick 6ix will serve as a meeting ground for sports and leisure in the city.
Despite being open for private events, no word on when Pick 6ix will hold its grand opening for the public just yet. Stay tuned for more details regarding Drake’s latest restaurant venture.
