After unveiling its upcoming Air More Money “Global Currency” pack, Nike recently added a fourth — Japanese yen — colorway to the money-themed pack. Adding to the previously revealed U.S. dollar, British pound, and the French euro colorways, the yen Air More Money sports a similar design — proudly displaying the Japanese flag and currency symbol. Done up in grey suede, the shoe features black highlights accented by the removable lace shroud and an encapsulated Air sole unit. No official release date for the Nike Air More Money “Global Currency” pack just yet, but expect the shoe series to drop within the next few months.

2017 has proved another momentous year for adidas’ NMD lineup — having dropped in numerous colorway options and luxe textile variations, not to mention being the subject of various collaborative projects. The Three Stripes brand looks to keep the NMD wave riding strong into the new year with another rework recently hitting the scene.
This new version of the chukka-style NMD C2 gets fitted with a smooth black pig suede upper, which sits directly atop the clean white BOOST midsole and gum outsole combination. Rounding out the subtle design is the side panel perforations and the branded leather heel tab. Set to a price of $160 USD, you can find this new adidas model at such retailers as Sneaker Politics.
In other sneaker-related news, here is an early look at the new Nike Air Max 270.
We first took a look at this Nike Air Max 97 iteration a couple of weeks back and are back to revisit the same tonal black model, this time armed with additional images and a firm release date to report. Dressed in a “Metallic Hematite” color scheme, the throwback runner features a somber core black palette with subtle splashes of red landing on the outsole, heel tab and inner Swoosh branding. The metallic detailing found on the upper, not only benefits nighttime run sessions, but stylistically differentiates itself from previous AM97 all-black drops seen earlier this year.
Although price has still yet to be confirmed, the Nike Air Max 97 “Metallic Hematite” is bound for an online release come January 6. Stay tuned for future updates. In other Nike news, the Swoosh adds a Japanese yen-themed Air More Money to the upcoming “Global Currency” pack.
Having revealed its new “Kamanda” silhouette earlier this month, adidas Originals has now lined up a new archival silhouette for its next release. Taking on the Marathon sneaker, the brand has mixed some of the shoe’s classic design elements with the latest adidas Originals technology.
The stand-out feature of the sneaker is its hardwearing tread which is made up a repeated Trefoil print and is often viewed as one of the first marathon running treads. The new “Epochal” pack of the Marathon TR sees it wrapped in either tonal green or tonal blue uppers, with white Three Stripes branding and a black and white outsole.
The “Epochal” capsule is set to drop at retailers including END. on January 9. In other footwear news, take a look at adidas’ NMD C2 in “Black Suede.”
After receiving a first look late last week, official images of Nike‘s upcoming Air Foamposite One “Alternate Galaxy” have surfaced. The new “Alternate Galaxy” color scheme pays homage to 2012’s original Galaxy Foamposites, which was met with great fanfare. The new take also adds a solid black sole. Dubbed as the “Nebula” Foamposites, the model will include the same “Remove Before Flight” hang-tag that decorated all of the Galaxy releases during the 2012 All-Star Weekend.
The Nike Air Foamposite One “Alternate Galaxy” has already released by surprise in Chicago, but a nationwide release has yet to be confirmed. The drop will most likely occur during the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend, happening on February 16-18 in Los Angeles. For now, check out the official images above.
In case you’ve missed it, Migos dropped a promotional “Stir Fry” video for the NBA All-Star Game.
NIKEs SF-AF1 Mid model has undergone its fair share of reworks over the last little while, having recently dropped in “Triple Black” and a suede-drenched “Obsidian” version, amongst many others. The Swoosh has since decided to reach back into its archives to bring back the original Special Field Air Force 1 colorway. Gracing this mid-top model is soft suede in “Military Green,” which lands on the toe and mid-panel area, while ballistic nylon swarms the heel and collar region. The cored gum outsole sitting directly below ties the throwback design together.
Price and release date are not yet known, however, the hybrid silhouette is expected to arrive at select retailers early next year. Sticking with Nike Air Force 1s, a new white/tan color combo split silhouette has recently surfaced.
