Felipe Pantone is the next acclaimed artist to join Hennessy’s famed artist collaborations following previous installments with Vhils, KAWS, Futura among others. The multifaceted creative’s unique visual language of bold geometrical patterns, 3D illusions, and distorted motifs now adorn the premier cognac producer’s V.S. (Very Special) edition bottle. The dynamic composition is based on an original artwork entitled W-3 Dimensional Three Stars which also pays homage to the label’s past.
“We went to the Hennessy archives in Cognac. It truly was inspiring. I was shown ancient labels, advertisements, bottles, and packaging,” said Pantone. “Visually speaking, all this old material that we saw was very interesting. It affected the work I did a lot.”
