The derby shoe has had its time in the spotlight this season and Prada is offering up its own edition of the sturdy style in one of its latest releases. Following behind the likes of Balenciaga’s laced green version and a fragment design x Dr. Martens collaboration, the Italian label sticks to the classic side of the equation, strapping the silhouette with a translucent outsole to kick up the modernization.
The pair is crafted in buffed black leather and feature a round toe and tonal laces. A wavy mudguard design adds a unique look along the midsole, which is equipped with a clear window to showcase the support system. Subtle branding nods include an embossed logo on the tongue and a transparent “PRADA” emblem on the heel, rounding the footwear off with more sensible touches.
Prada’s Black Leather Bounce Derbys are priced at $870 USD and available now at SSENSE.
The creatives over at WWWESH STUDIO™ and Heightened Sense have teamed up together to create a hybrid sneaker that infuses both the Nike Air Max Tn and Converse Chuck Taylor into one stealthy sneaker.
In the photos shared exclusively with HYPEBEAST France, the ankle portion of a Chuck Taylor model has been sewn into an-all black pair of Air Max Tn creating a sock-like effect. Additionally, the original tongue of the Air Max has been swapped out for the Chuck’s, while a double set of shoelaces in both black and white add a contrasting and quirky appeal. Finally Converse and WWWESH STUDIO™ co-branding can be found stamped on the medial portion of the ankle.
These special WWWESH STUDIO™ and Heightened Sense Nike Air Max Tn/Converse Chuck Taylor hybrid sneakers will be present at a joint pop-up in Paris running from June 18 to 23. Keep it locked here for a wider release and retail price.
Continuing its Pride Month celebrations, Nike is now prepping another Air Force 1 look centered around a simple yet important message.
Crafted of premium leather, the Air Force 1 Low CMFT “Equality” features an all-white upper marked by perforations at the toe box and midfoot. Additional detailing comes in the form of plush interior padding, black Nike Air branding on the heel and tongue paired with Swoosh overlays at the midfoot. Moving lower, the Air-assisted AF1 sole unit is marked all around in contrasting “EQUALITY” test in various form of typography.
Priced at $160 USD, the Nike Air Force 1 Low CMFT “Equality” is set to release June 19 via Extra Butter’s raffle.
adidas Originals has tapped the estate of late American pop artist Keith Haring for a footwear capsule in honor of Pride Month. The capsule features Haring’s iconic artwork on three equally iconic silhouettes from adidas: the Stan Smith, the Rivalry Hi, and the Nizza Hi.
The Stan Smith remains mostly true to its original form, swapping out the usual colored panel at the heel with bright orange and replacing the tennis player’s logo on the tongue with a caricature of Haring himself, also in orange. One of Haring’s illustrated characters adorns the shoe’s toebox, giving it just the right amount of artistic touch for the classic silhouette.
The Rivalry Hi gets a heavier revamp, heavily dressed in Haring’s graffiti-like designs, from dancing human characters to smiley faces and stars. Color-wise, the predominantly white sneaker gets painted in a summer-ready orange and blue on its midsole, branding, and lining.
Finally, with the Nizza Hi, Haring creates a midpoint of the other two designs, with hints of light blue accents on a largely white silhouette, decorated with his trademark graphics near the midfoot and heel of the shoe, and lining the interior.
All three of the adidas Originals x Keith Haring models will be available June 30, over at the adidas store. The Stan Smith will go for $100 USD, while the Rivalry and Nizza will go for $140 USD and $120 USD respectively.
