One month after honoring Daewon Song’s legendary career by producing a special adidas 3MC collaboration for Spring 2019, adidas Skateboarding sets its sights on the next seasonal lineup for its latest run of sneakers. Specifically, adidas Skateboarding introduces a monthly range of footwear known as the Rider Series. Enlisting the talents of team athletes like Miles Silvas, Jake Donnelly, Na-Kel Smith, Diego Najera, Chewy Cannon, Silas Baxter-Neal and Blondey McCoy, the brand is serving up new and personalized takes on renowned silhouettes, with each new pair created to celebrate the talents of the rider involved with its creation.
To launch the new Rider Series, adidas Skateboarding is teaming up with Miles Silvas to cook up a Fall/Winter 2019 iteration of the 3ST.004. For this latest spin on the aforementioned style, Silvas and adidas Skateboarding utilize a luxe nubuck upper, a breathable mesh overlay and a well-constructed, sturdy wraparound rubber outsole. The exterior features a golden-yellow tone, and BOOST technology is placed into the midsole for superior shock absorption and “all-day energy return.” Rounding out this presentation: black three-stripes branding and a heel tab adorned with Silvas’ name.
“Having my name on the back of the shoe is insane,” miles Silvas shares via an official press statement. “I like the boost in the heel – the tongue and side straps too. It makes the shoes fit super snug yet super flexible right out of the box, so you don’t have to waste any time breaking them in. The golden colorway was inspired by a pair of old Gazelles I really wanted growing up.”

After teasing its upcoming Air Jordan VIII “Quai 54” just weeks ago, Nike has now revealed the details surrounding the shoe’s upcoming release. The new take on the iconic Michael Jordan sneaker offers an ode to the iconic Paris-based streetball tournament that is held every year, highlighting the sport of basketball and its long-standing connection with hip-hop culture.
The sneaker itself retains a unique bricolage of materials including black suede, leather, and a mesh textile — all of which appear on the upper of the shoe. Inspired by the brand’s multicolored logo, pops of color arrive in vibrant geometric patterns that have been highlighted on the heel and ankle regions, with 3D chenille Jumpman logos emblazoned on the tongue tabs. The right sneaker’s Jumpman branding is encircled by red, blue, and white, while the left is surrounded by green, red, and yellow. This is all met with an icy blue outsole that features more colored hits on the underfoot.

Following the commemorative knit iterations of the Air Jordan 4 is a revamped staple surrounding the classic “Cool Grey” colorway. The tonal gray tone is observed largely on the uppers alongside charcoal accents and white midsoles for a balanced look overall. Additional embellishments include a silver touch on the Jumpman logo alongside yellow stitching on the tongue portions, Air Max units, and outsoles.
Look out for a release on August 3 for $190 USD at select stockists. Elsewhere in footwear, N.HOOLYWOOD and UGG debut their collaborative SS20 silhouettes.
Following a trend of nostalgic releases, Nike is about to drop yet another throwback take on one of its classic silhouettes, the Air Max 90. Dressing the sneakers up in a “Mixtape” colorway, Nike pays homage to some of its most iconic AM90 colorways with a hand-scribbled “tracklist” shining through a translucent outsole with eight titles: “OG Infrared,” “King Of The Mountain,” “Anniversary Cork,” “Moon Landing,” “Lemon Frost,” “Untold Truth,” “OG Ostrich” and “BRS Powerwall.” The “Mixtape” theme extends to the tongue, where you’ll find “Side A” and “33 1/3 RPM” written on each shoe, a nod to vinyl records.
Elsewhere, the shoe is constructed with a fresh white mesh and grey leather paneling with “Lemon Frost” highlights for detailing and a cork insole, creating a light and breezy colorway for the warmer months whilst honoring the company’s past releases.

Instead of the usual synthetic 720s that are out there on the market, OBJ’s take on the model sees it constructed in various mesh, suede, and nubuck overlays that have been dressed in vibrant hues of pink, blue, and neon green. Also featured is a standout multi-colored pattern which is spotlighted on the toxbox and ankle. This then all sits atop a 720-degree Air bubble and translucent outsole, while additional details include cork insoles stamped with OBJ‘s personal logo.
According to Solebox, the Odell Beckham Jr. x Nike Air Max 720 will be releasing exclusively in-store on June 12 and will be limited to 20 pairs only. Lucky customers will also get the chance to meet the famed NFL star.

With plenty of appreciably premium New Balance collaborations already under his belt, Todd Snyder keeps them coming, this time with a special release tied into Pride Month. A limited edition New Balance 997 is on hand, appropriately dubbed “LOVE.”
Executed in a summery mish-mash of pastel tones, the 997 “LOVE” incorporates hues like “White Peach,” “Cedar Quartz” and “Copper Rose” across a variety of premium suede panels on the upper. A white and beige midsole sits atop a grey outsole for a muted complement to the lush shades above, with some darker brown tones on the ankle. Thematic detailing comes by way of the rainbow-toned branding on the ankle and tongue, Snyder’s tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising.
