Supreme and Timberland have debuted their latest footwear collaboration. Most recently, the brands unveiled a World Hiker Front Country Boot back in November. Now, the duo is serving up a low-cut silhouette, Timberland’s classic 3-Eye Classic Lug Shoe.
In the past a snakeskin version of the Lug Shoe was debuted; the newest iterations were created with calf hair material. Arriving in black or leopard-print the 2019 Supreme x Timberland 3-Eye Classic Lug Shoe includes, hand-sewn calf hair uppers. This component matches with the durable rubber lug outsole. Detailing also features an embroidered Timberland logo, gold hardware, a metal Supreme deubré, leather laces and co-branded red lining.
The limited-edition Supreme x Timberland 2019 3-Eye Classic Lug Shoe will be available online and in the NY, Brooklyn, LA, London and Paris stores on March 7. Japan will see a release on March 9.
Japan’s AURALEE has built a cult following around its minimalist, ultra-premium garments, with extensive collections crafted to meet the young label’s high standards. That appreciable approach to design inspired collaborative Chuck Taylors last year, and will inform AURALEE’s upcoming collaboration with New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio, which includes clothing and a pair of elevated runners.
New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio has worked with brands like nanamica to tweak its utilitarian runners in the past, and AURALEE’s revisions keep in line with the company’s exceptional past releases. This drop includes a range of bespoke woven layers, including a long- and short-sleeved knit tops, shorts, pants and a vest, all crafted with the “WHOLEGARMENT” weaving style. This technique imbues sturdy yarns with water resistant properties, yielding dry weaves ideal for muggy summer weather.
This mantra of functional comfort also informs the collaborative R_C2 sneaker, a new casual runner model for NB. Boasting an earthy, sepia-hued colorway, the running sneaker’s beige midsole is complemented by similar tones on the ripstop nylon upper, encompassing the cage, laces and sockliner. GORE-TEX lining gives the sneaker a waterproof, yet breathable, edge, while reflective accents make it extra visible even in low light. Of coourse, New Balance’s preferred EVA Encap outsole maximizes all-day comfort.
The collaborative capsule and kicks both arrive on New Balance Japan’s site and at select Japanese AURALEE stockists on March 9.
Following up a Spring/Summer 2018 collaborative release, UNDEFEATED and adidas are set to drop a “Triple Black” take on their UltraBOOST team-up.
The upper of the shoe features black Primeknit upper bases accented with 3M reflective UNDFTD logos at the midfoot and Five-Strike branding motifs at the tongues. Additional detailing comes in the form of black TPU heel counters and heat overlay toe caps. Rounding up the design of the shoe are full-length black BOOST midsoles and matching Continental black rubber outsoles.
