Nike Sportswear‘s Huarache E.D.G.E. TXT model prepares for the spring weather with its upcoming colorway. Its lightweight base is covered in white – midsole included – while the runner’s overlay and eyestays are seen in game royal and hyper jade, respectively. The snug upper sees a mix of neoprene towards its ankle entry while the toebox incorporates a breathable mesh. In addition, the midsole adds a contrasting black pod on the forefoot as well as the toe and heel of the outsole. Lastly, the recognizable Huarache logo is applied to the tongue as a nod to related silhouettes.
This edition of the Nike Huarache E.D.G.E. TXT is expected to launch in the coming weeks for $110 USD at select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com. Take a look at the forthcoming colorway above and let us know how it compares to previous color schemes like its Heron Preston collaboration.
New Balance‘s famed 997 silhouette is gearing up for the Spring/Summer season, seeing as it has been recently covered in a “Mint Julep” color palette.
Like the frosty alcoholic drink that this model has been named after, the minty fresh tonal look takes over the Made In USA upper’s leather and suede composition and follows right down to the partially exaggerated midsole. Laces and New Balance’s “N” insignia also sport the “Mint Julep” look, while “New Balance” branding can be found debossed on both the tongue tabs and heel counters.
Interested fans can purchase the New Balance 997 “Mint Julep” now at select New Balance retailers such as Sneaker Politics.
Yesterday, pictures of the Nike SB Dunk High emerged in a “Desert Camo” colorway. The popular arrangement is quickly followed up by making its way onto the Zoom Blazer Low.
The skating silhouette sits atop a white vulcanized outsole with canvas material utilized on the upper. To complement the aforementioned pattern, hints of black leather are added to the Swoosh, tongue and heel tabs to bring everything together – similar to the accents applied to the Dunk High.
The Nike SB Zoom Blazer Low “Desert Camo” is expected to arrive in the coming weeks at select Nike SB carriers and nike.com for $75 USD.
A few days after introducing a multi-toned Crazy BYW X collaboration with Pharrell Williams, adidas Originals teams up with GORE-TEX for a monochromatic all-black spin on the LX CON silhouette. Available only as a friends and family exclusive, adidas Originals and GORE-TEX’s collaborative LX CON is a modern rework of the iconic adidas Lexicon silhouette that was first released in the mid ’90s and gives a nod to the “hyper-functional approach” to design that that era’s creatives employed when crafting footwear. This LX CON collaboration is said to embody that spirit, although contemporary manufacturing techniques are utilized to ensure the highest levels of functionality; adidas Originals and GORE-TEX’s LX CON collaboration perfectly represents a seamless blend of function and form.
For the construction of adidas Originals and GORE-TEX’s joint offering, the shoe’s creators have chosen lightweight uppers to” play host to delicate cloth three-stripes and a technical lacing system.” A “chunky adiPRENE midsole” dominates the core of the sneaker and extends to the back of the silhouette for optimal support, while GORE-TEX technology delivers an additional layer of weather resistance. To contrast the striking jet black colorway of the latest addition to the LX CON lineup, steaks of white and blue tones provide a tasteful counter. Altogether, these qualities produce an “understated but high-performing lifestyle shoe befitting of an understated release for family and friends of the brand.”
size? and Nike has teamed up for a special collaboration to celebrate Air Max Day with an Air Max Light, staying true to its teasers with the reversed heel cup Swoosh branding.
size? has taken the Air Max Light’s “NIKE AIR” branding on the rear and flipped it upside down alongside its swoosh for a fresh take on the 1989 classic. Swathed in grey and orange suede, with a grey leather swoosh and light grey mesh detailing, the Air Max Light sits atop a white midsole and two-tone orange and grey outsole. The midsole is what gives the Air Max Light/II its name, as the second-ever Air Max is considerably lighter than the Air Max 1.
Following on from its recent Air Max 90 “Mars Landing,” Nike draws inspiration once again from outer space. The collaborative size? sneaker centers around interplanetary exploration, light and reflectivity, and, most importantly, zero gravity — reflected in the shoe’s flipped branding.
The Nike Air Max Light size? exclusive will be available on Air Max Day 2019, March 26, via the size? previews app and in size? stores.
