adidas Skateboarding and Diego Nájera have just released their first signature sneaker, the Sabalo. Crafted with premium materials and a heavy-duty build, the silhouette can withstand the most intense of skate sessions while staying in style.
Taking cues from the distinct fisheye cinematography style of skate culture, adidas and Nájera reinterpreted vulcanized footwear with a minimalistic design. The shoe features a full-grain leather upper with embroidered branding, sticky Geoflex rubber outsole and an enhanced adiprene™ sock liner. Additionally, the pair pops with a white curved detailing that runs throughout the shoe. With an attached tongue and solid toe piece, the skater is confident that “there is no place for the shoe to rip” and that the Sabalo will “definitely be a style that lasts.”

Nike is prepping for warmer temperatures with the Air Max 97 “Teal Tint.” Crafted as an ideal colorway for Spring, the latest iteration’s upper comes dressed with teal tint overlays atop of a white mesh base and reflective detailing accents on the racing stripes. Purple hits are splashed on the Swoosh logo and rubber outsole as well, to add a subtle pop of color.
The Nike Air Max 97 is set to release this Spring on nike.com and select retailers for $160 USD.
adidas and Foot Locker continue their Global Asterisk Collective with the release of a new TRESC Run, the Three Stripes boost-equipped ’90s-inspired runner.
Drawing from the bold colorways of the 1990s, the latest adidas Originals TRESC Run sees a mixture of royal blue and black suede and leather panelling forming its uppers. Contrast stripes in red, white and fluorescent yellow sit both sides of the shoe, with the conflicting color palette carrying through to the sneakers trefoil logo, branding, stitching, piping and unique asterisk logo. The TRESC Run is finished with an icy outsole and blue flame-inspired midsole plugs, once again tapping into adidas’ running heritage.
The Global Asterisk Collective members have been enlisted for the sneakers release, asking the Collective’s creative ambassadors Kid Cudi, Raury, H.E.R., Patrick Mahomes, Donovan Mitchell and Candace Parker to take their contributions to the next step. Aiming for an impactful change in their local communities, the launch of the shoe sees NBA icon Donovan Mitchell taking part in random acts of kindness such as donations and scholarships, as well as challenging people to perform their own positive acts.
The adidas Originals TRESC Run x Foot Locker Global Asterisk Collective will release exclusively at Foot Locker on March 21 for $140 USD.
This year’s batch of Air Max launches continues with another edition of the VaporMax 2019, an appropriate alternative for those who may not favor the Air VaporMax Flyknit 3 or Air VaporMax Plus. The forthcoming “Pink Rise” iteration is dominated by a white translucent base and features pink accents that are spread throughout the upper from its eyestays to the stitching and internal lacing cage.
